One thing we try to do every Spring ( though it hasn’t been EVERY spring, since I’ve been here) is to visit the Wooden Shoe Tulip farm. We went out during the week and it wasn’t that busy. The weather was absolutely beautiful, not a cloud in the sky. I was pleased that there was plenty of color in the fields still so late in the season too. We had planned on visiting sooner but things came up.
My sister in law is working at the fields this year and she was so kind to take a break and come visit with us for a bit. She got a few pictures of my whole family together (which can be a rare thing) among the pretty flowers. And she even gave me a lovely set of cut ones to bring home. The kids had lots of fun running about and playing in the kids areas at the fields. Owen was thrilled to get the chance to play in the little wooden barn house. It had a tiny toy kitchen inside and both the kids had fun making and serving us pretend foods.
It was a fun day. It was nice to get out after the month we’d all been having with Owen’s all of a sudden eczema issues. I’ll be posting on his recently bad eczema flare up and the current challenges with that soon. Until then enjoy the lovely images I’ve captured of the flowers.
