Board Buddies: Snow by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace {Review}

Snow by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace is a heart warming children’s book about a Grandpa Rabbit telling a story to his grandbunny about a fun-filled snowy day during his own youth. In this tale, children being read to or reading all on their own will discover the wonderful activities and the magical goodness that can be treasured for a lifetime all a single snow filled day.

The illustrations in this tale mimic a paper cut look which is fun and quite child like in manner. The colors are soft and illustrations are simple and fit well in getting the message of the tale across extremely well. The board book quality is very sturdy and there’s been no fear of it easily becoming damaged or wore out.

My son and daughter ages 2 and 4 liked this book quite a bit and have asked for it to be read over and over. They have talked about making their own snowmen, sledding down hills, making prints, leaving special snacks for the birds, and enjoying special hot cocoa with honey during our snow days. There’s also been a special request for me to start knitting them hats and scarves to be ready for those cool chilly days.  I think this book would a fun addition to any home library, especially as a snow day might soon be approaching.

Want it? If you’d like to purchase Snow (Board Buddies), it’s available on Amazon in a number of formats (hardcover, board book, Kindle, paperback).
