Who said dressing up was just for kids? Not me, certainly. I think dressing up is awesome and it’s a simple way for adults to demonstrate to everyone that it’s not hard to have a little fun and let loose a bit more! Speaking of dressing up, last weekend my family and I attended a Renaissance Fair and a majority of everyone was decked out in exquisite Eighteenth-Century Costumes!
Recently I was given the opportunity myself to review a lovely Lady in Waiting Costume from the Costume Super Center website. This costume went above and beyond my expectations. Usually when I purchase a costume for myself it’s usually way too large since I’m a petite build. I normally wear clothes that are sizes 2-3. The size I ordered this costume in was the S/M size which fits sizes 2-8, so I was skeptical how it would fit but it fits perfectly.
This costume comes with a hat that easily slides upon the head. The dress color is a lovely shade of green with gold accents. It sits very nicely and I really like the attention to detail such as the lace-up front and gold accented shoulders. The dress goes all the way to the floor but I didn’t trip over or get caught up in the material at all. The sleeves drop down beautifully and flow effortlessly when worn.
I am sure this costume will get a lot of use from me. It’s comfortable, doesn’t make me too hot, it’s easy to take off and on, and it’s modest and not bulky in the least bit. I enjoy playing dress up with my children and I plan on wearing this out this Halloween. And I do think I’ll be wearing it when the next Renaissance Fair comes around and who knows, maybe they’ll be a costume ball in my future!
If you’d like to connect with the Costume Super Center, please do so on Twitter & on Facebook. Be sure to check out their huge line of costumes for every member of the family…yes even the four legged ones!
