As a homeschooling blogging mother of a preschooler and Toddler, I’m very much into sharing about all the great educational materials I come across that my readers may also want to use with their own children! I’m happy to say with our future generation being very much into technology and using the computers that a browser-based virtual world like the one Jump Start offers is great for those just being introduced to using the computer as well as children that already know some of their way around.
My daughter is 3 and half years old and has been using Jumpstart as a part of her schooling for about six months now. The way she now navigates using a computer and how savvy she has become in her schooling has really made me proud. Though not just by itself but I am sure that including Jumpstart’s Virtual on line world has encouraged her learning and she’s become very in the know mastering all her early preschool skills as well as getting around on the computer. In fact, she’s already mastered the section on the game that was created for 3-5 year olds and has moved on to the other areas!
The Jump Start virtual world was created for children ages 3-10 years old. To start, children can create personal avatar characters and easily begin to explore the world of Jumpstart. The world of JumpStart is ever changing and I love that there’s always something new to keep your kids attention!
JumpStart.com is world of resources for both parents and teachers. You can find all sorts of information to add to a lesson plan or create one solely from the vast information and helpful suggestions they’ve put together! I’ve been reading up on the JumpStart Blog at http://blog.jumpstart.com for information about the latest additions to the game! I like being hands on in what my children are learning and JumpStart makes that so easy having written up a very helpful game guide.
My daughter loves playing JumpStart so much that she’s always asking to go on the computer to play. I’m pretty sure my baby boy who is ahead of his game will be getting connected on there soon too. He already watches his sister and has begun recognizing colors and shapes and saying what they are! Overall Jumpstart has done a great job make learning so much fun for kids. There’s nothing we don’t like and we highly recommend getting connected to the Jumpstart Virtual world too!
We were using Jumpstart.com for free which any can do for awhile but I’m going to recommend purchasing a membership ! There are several memership levels to choose from and when you sign up, you get access to everything on JumpStart.com, Learning Adventure’s other virtual world, MathBlaster.com AND four downloadable games to play right on your own computer.
Disclosure: I was provided with a JumpStart membership at no cost by Knowledge Adventure in order to test the products’ abilities and give my own personal opinions on it. The opinions I have given are mine and may differ from others but were not influenced by the company or the free product provided.”
