Review: Weight Watchers Ice Cream Treats

It’s January and that means this is the month that a lot of people jump into their new years goals and resolutions. I know one of the goals that tops many peoples list is to pursue a healthier lifestyle. Some people may be trying to lose weight and others are aiming to maintain exactly where they are.

A lot of people think that in order to lose weight, you have to sacrifice the food you love or eat things that are completely tasteless especially when it comes to desserts!. Well, I for one know that’s not entirely true! In fact, Weight Watchers offers a smart snack to helping you stick to those New Year’s Resolutions!

I was given the opportunity to try four ice cream products by Weight Watchers for myself and to also share with my family:

    • Weight Watchers Snack Size Chocolate Fudge Bar: This delightful, chocolate-y snack-sized treat offers real ice cream smoothness with only 45 calories per bar and less than 1g of fat. For a PointsPlus value of 1 per bar, it is the perfect size to satisfy your sweet tooth.
    • Weight Watchers Dark Chocolate Raspberry Bars: Offering an indulgent combination of fruitful raspberry and dark chocolate, these bars are made with low fat raspberry icecream with raspberries covered with a dark chocolate flavored coating. Each bar has aPointsPlus value of 2 per bar and just 80 calories- the perfect way to add flavor to your afternoon.
    • Weight Watchers Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Dessert Bars: Featuring low fat cheesecake ice cream with a raspberry swirl dipped in dark chocolate. Each bar has a PointsPlus value of 3 per bar and 110 calories.
    • Weight Watchers Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Dessert Bars: Featuring low fat strawberry ice cream with a strawberry swirl dipped in a milk chocolate. Each bar has aPointsPlus value of 3 per bar and only 100 calories!
I was very surprised how great these tasted! My personal favorite is the fudge bars as they have just the right amount of chocolate. I could hardly believe how great each product tasted. It was nice to see that even some of their products were without high fructose corn syrup which is a product I often try to stay away from. After giving these a try, I’m actually pretty eager to try out a few of their other products like the ice cream sandwiches which I’ve heard excellent things about!I would recommend giving  Weight Watchers Ice Cream Treats  a try, especially if you’ve got a sweet tooth like me but you don’t want to risk gaining unwanted weight but having other ice cream products. And with each snack only having 100 calories, you’ll be well on your way to meet and maintain your weight loss goals during the 2012 year.

Disclosure: I received these products to try from MomSelect and Weight Watchers Ice Cream in exchange for my opinion of them. The opinions expressed are 100% my own.
