Hanes® launches comfort-sharing Facebook App for Breast Cancer Awareness

I’m excited to spread the news about the fantastic application that Hanes has on their Facebook page! Their Virtual Comfort application allows people to personalize and share virtual comfort packages for free with friends and family members. In using this application, Hanes will donate $1.00  to the Nation Breast Cancer Foundation Inc. to promote early detection of cancer and provide mammograms  for those in need.

It’s very easy to send a package, first you’ll need to click the pink colored tab on the Hanes Facebook page to begin creation. You can then fully customize using photos, music, videos, recipes, a note, and more. This is a simply wonderful way to encourage and lift the spirits of someone you know that is struggling with breast cancer.

Other great things offered on Hanes Facebook page are interviews of employees of the company that have been affected by cancer. There is also a place called the Words of Comfort Wall where people can leave hopeful and encouraging comments for others.  You can read comments by a specific state and also see if anyone in your friends list on Facebook has left a message of hope for others to see.

I encourage readers to take some time today to send a virtual Comfort package and to spread the word about this encouraging application.

As a longtime supporter of breast cancer awareness, Hanes has made cash and in-kind donations totaling $1 million since 2009 and is donating up to $125,000 to NBCF this year.

I participated in this campaign as a member of One2One Network and am eligible for a prize drawing.  All opinions stated in the post are my own.
