PETER H. REYNOLDS’ INSPIRATIONAL BEST-SELLER HEADLINES FOUR BEST-SELLING STORIES THAT CELEBRATE DIVERSITY AND ENCOURAGE CHILDREN TO DISCOVER THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED

It is often said that life is a journey, and it’s true. But sometimes it’s hard to know which path to follow when signs point in so many directions.  From best-selling author Peter H. Reynolds comes the inspirational tale “The North Star”, encouraging learners of all ages to navigate to their full potential and follow their dreams.

The title tale in THE NORTH STAR…AND MORE STORIES ABOUT FOLLOWING YOUR DREAMS, is a time-tested classic that’s sure to make viewers consider the road less traveled.  Celebrity narrators such as Zooey Deschanel and Tim Curry lend their voices to the other three stirring tales featured on this all-new DVD, including as William Steig’s “Brave Irene”, “Players in Pigtails” and “Swamp Angel”, a Caldecott Honor book from Anne Isaccs and illustrator Paul O. Zelinsky.

Our Thoughts…

This is fantastic collection of stories! Our favorite from this collection is definitely “The North Star”. My daughter was really captivated by the little boy in this tale whom was on journey to achieve his goals, hopes, and dreams! It’s a really super cute story and the illustrations whimsical and very eye catching. The narrator (Tim Curry) also has a great voice which keeps the listener drawn in.

The other stories in this collection are equally as good as “The North Star” but none of the other kept my daughter quite as much captivated and invovled. I know she really liked seeing the little boy travel on his own path over the river, through the woods and so on. She’s all about exploring right now! And the concern she showed when the little boy was lost and when he rescued a bunny rabbit shows that’s she’s ready for these types of stories now at the age of 3.

Each of the stories in this collection encourage Cooperation; Friendship; Problem Solving. The read a long story book feature is quite welcoming in encouraging young minds in learning to read. Bonus features include an interview with That Book Woman author Heather Henson and illustrator David Small. I highly recommend this collection to add your own personal DVD library today!
