Lovely Baby & Mommy CD {review}

Music geared toward babies is often hit and miss with parents and their children. I have a huge collection of children’s music that goes well into the over fifty CDs and counting range. I like each the cds all in their own special ways. My collection goes from baby ages up to children possibly ages 8-10.

I recently was given the opportunity to review the Lovely Baby & Mommy CD. And though it was put together by an award winning composer Raimond Lap, I wasn’t entirely in love with it.

This CD is basically a collection of ten songs that celebrate
the importance of moms everywhere, and their integral role in their baby’s development. I think the lyrics are great, quite heartfelt, simple, and touching.

The thing that got to me on this CD was the baby voice included in certain tracks. It’s high pitched and slightly irritating, needless to say I’m not entirely in love with it. It sounded simulated. If they used a real baby making noises and words it would have sounded a lot better to me. It might be great for someone else so I’m going to include some music samples from the Lovely Baby & Mommy CD and let you decide for yourself. Here are the samples: She Is A Mom |You Can Sing Along.
