Medela Labeling & Storage System {review}

As a breastfeeding mama I’m always searching for the top nursing products out there. And with that being said,  I’m  more than happy to share my experience with other moms on products whether good or bad. One company I can rave about for their exceptional well thought out products for the nursing mother is Medela!

I’ve been breastfeeding since the birth of my first child all the way back in 2008 and can happily say I’m nursing my second child right now. I’ve been using my Medela breast pump for the past three years and it’s still holding up great! Recently, I was given the opportunity to review Medela’s new Labeling and Storage System which includes two bottles and two lids and one tray.

Though I don’t work out of the home, I still find the need to pump milk. One of my reasons to keep a supply in the freezer is the fact I might not always be on demand for my little guy . So, I’d always like to keep a supply in the freezer for whatever the case may be.

This is pretty nifty storage system, especially if you are pumping more than once a day.  First you need to know that this set comes with a tray that hold up to six five ounce bottles. The tray has two arrows on either side representing “In” and “Out”. This keeps things in order so you won’t have to rummage through bottles and baggies with many different dates on them.

This set comes with two five ounce BPA free bottles with special caps. These bottles feature a wheel that has each day of the week listed on it and an arrow that allows you to mark which day of the week your milk was pumped and what time of day (am/pm).

Overall I found the system very easy to use and would totally recommend it if you are looking for an easy way to keep your milk supply in order whether you are storing in the fridge or freezer.

This system retails for $16.99 but note that you can pay about $9.49 for 6 lids to use with  Medela bottles if you already have some.
