Holy Beginnings on Etsy {review}

I recently was introduced to Holy Beginnings, a mom created shop on Etsy. At this shop you’ll find handcrafted and home baked goodies of all kinds!ย  I was graciously given the opportunity to taste and sample the Caramel Marshmallow Cups (Dark Chocolate) & Annie’s Almond Roca and let me tell you, my mouth was in heaven! I’ve tried lots of different Roca’s in my time and never have I come across one so delightful that it practically melts in your mouth, even my husband agreed with me. The Caramel Marsh-mellow cups were also very good and I had to hold myself back from wanting to eat more than one as marsh-mellows and dark chocolate are my top personal favorites.

I enjoy promoting and getting to know other Etsy artist like myself and thought you might too! Check out the interview questions answered below to get know more about this mom of two.

1.Why did you decide to start doing this on Etsy and how long have you been?

My friends have been bugging me to do all my crafty stuff on Etsy for awhile now and when I finally went on the site and saw how great it was, I gave it a shot. I opened my store on October 22, 2010 which incidentally was the day my cousin had a baby. I found that out later that night.

2. What do you enjoy the most when creating your products?
I love coming up with new recipes and ideas that other people may not have out there. I am working on a few new confections for Valentine’s Day (marzipan, Irish Cream to name a few). Crafting relieves my stress and gives me something fun to focus on.

3. Apart from creating things, what do you do? I am a full time mom of two and a full time kindergarten teacher.

4. What inspires you? My children and my family and friends inspire me. I love giving more than getting and it is amazing to see someone receive the perfect gift, especially if it is something I created.

5.In five years you’d like to be…? In 5 years I would like to be in a little house somewhere where I can have a separate room set up for all my creations and craftiness. I would love to still be coming up with yummy goodies and fun products and I would like to have the girls helping me. Holy Beginnings is named after Ariana (Ariana = Holy, Dawn = sunrise or beginning) and we are considering branching off to have a separate company for the confections which will be named after Kaia – Pure Grace Confectionery (Kaia = pure, Anne = gracious).

The Almond Roca that I reviewed is available in two different flavors, sold by the pound, and comes in a appealing re-usable tin perfect for gifting! Note also that each order from Holy Beginnings comes with one ofย  their signature super-strong magnets! I would highly recommend checking out Holy Beginnings whether to tickle your taste buds or to pick up a cute crocheted hair accessory for the special little girl in your life!
