God Provides

2nd Corinthians 9:8-9:11, “and God will generously provide all you need”.

God has always provided in my life for the things I’ve needed not always wanted mind you. I’ve a roof over my head, food on the table, clothes to wear, physical healthiness, and the list could go on. God has given to me so that I may bless others  as well and that’s how it should be.

God not only provides the things listed above but also He provides for me spiritually.  He is my comforter when I am stressed and anxious. He is that and so much more.  We honestly should be ashamed of ourselves when we worry and doubt that our Father God will provide for us.  We too often try to do it all on our own without looking to our heavenly father, I’m guilty of this myself but shouldn’t be after seeing all that He has done and provided in my life.

I’m pregnant with my second child and he’ll be here in only a few more weeks give or take. I’ve been a bit anxious trying to get everything ready. Though we have quite a few items from our first baby which was a girl, there are still things that we needed for our son. Some of the the top items we needed included clothes and a brand new crib since our other crib was recalled.

Money for my family has always been a bit tight and that’s why we’ve been working on a budget and haven’t been just throwing it around on things we don’t personally need. We saw with all the bills for food, electricity, etc that it was going to be a bit hard to pull off the purchase of a new crib and an entire wardrobe for our son before he got here.  I was worried about this for awhile but took it to God in prayer and He provided us with those things that I was so worried about!

Hebrews 4:16 Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help.

Often we need to take that step of Faith in which sometimes we are to stubborn to do. We need to acknowledge it’s okay to let others know when we need a little help and not be so proud. God can & will bless you and those who want to help but you must let your need by known.

Days after my concern, my parents provided the money for a brand new crib for their grandson and several generous mother’s have given me clothes for my little boy. I am very gracious toward their kindness!

“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 4:19)

Are you trusting in God to provide for all your needs? Perhaps you aren’t in need but could be helping someone else who is… I encourage to look at your own life and seek God in prayer during this season.
