I figured there’s no time time like the better to start planning out what meals I want to prepare for my family ahead of time. It makes things so much easier and I am not constantly digging through my cupboard to see what we have and panicking about what to cook! I sometimes find a recipe I want to try and then end up sending my husband to the store every other day for ingredients. Not a great thing to do!
I sat down on Saturday and wrote down the ingredients to a few recipes that I wanted to try and then dug through my cupboards and freezer to see what else we had to make meals of and am very happy with the results of planning meals to make for the next two weeks! I imagine I would have had this down a few months ago but my first trimester of pregnancy wasn’t very forgiving and food most certainly was not my friend…so without further ado, here is my menu for this week!
Sunday – Steak with sauteed mushrooms & onions, Rice, & Baked Potatoes.
Monday – Apple Cranberry Slow Cooker Pork Chops with Rice, Green Beans n’ Biscuits.
Tuesday – Left Over Steak Fried Rice
Wednesday – Grilled Chili Lime Chicken Burgers with fries
Thursday – Left Over Apple Cranberry Slow Cooker Pork Chops
Friday- Chicken and Dumplings with rice and a side of glazed carrots.
Saturday- Tuna Cheese Noodle Casserole with steamed Cauliflower and Rice
Sunday- Steak Burritos with Spanish Rice & black beans
Tuesdays and Thursdays are always going to be left over nights since my husband and I host a small Bible Study group on Tuesdays and on Thursdays my husband attends a gaming group so there’s not a whole lot of time before either group starts for cooking a huge meal and cleaning up so left overs are usually the best.
