I came across a company called Under The Nile a few month ago. If you know nothing about them, you should! They are a manufacturer of affordable 100% organic infant and children’s apparel, toys, blankets, and much more. They’ve been around for over 10 years and I can definitely see them being around for much longer.
Why the name Under The Nile? Well, it’s due to the fact that all of their products are made from 100% Egyptian organic cotton! I learned that most of the toys on the market are stuffed with “fluff” that cause allergic reactions and respiratory problems in many babies and children. So, it brings me great relief to know that all Under the Nile toys are hand crafted and created with only the best materials. This reflects both a care of the environment and their care for others.
My daughter Melody and I were given the opportunity to review a Tool Box toy from Under The Nile! I knew right away that we would have a lot of fun playing with the toolbox! What this set includes is a stuffed toy hammer, saw and paint brush. Tool Box finished with linen seed oil. I must point out that this toy compared to other sets on the market will prevent my furniture from getting dings and scratches in it since the tools are soft!
I love that this toy is gender friendly for either boy or girl. Sometimes I think it’s so silly to make toys either all blue or all pink. I personally would like to have another child in a couple of years and if it’s a boy, I’ll know he’ll enjoy playing with this toy that is not totally pinked out.
Melody has been going around hammer nearly everything in the house, and once again thank goodness that these tools are soft! Motherhood is hard enough and any chance to let my daughter play with something freely without constantly saying “No” is certainly a plus.
I’m teaching my daughter what each tool is and I am quite sure she already recognizes them as she enjoys watching Bob the Builder every weekend. I love this little toolbox and my daughter does as well! We would highly recommend it! (retails for 34.00)
If the tool box isn’t your thing, Under The Nile offers so many more fantastic gifts for babies to adults! You can purchase these great products at http://www.underthenile.com/ & at Amazon.com to just name a few places.
