I’ve been working on a photo book over at Tiny Prints for my mom and that prompted me to share some of the latest photos of my daughter.

Over the holiday weekend, I was able to purchase Melody’s new Fall/Winter wardrobe from TJ Maxx. I really like that store as they have great quality things for good prices.  The brown heart dress with matching head band as well as the pink n’ purple shirt and pant set in the pictures above were both from TJ Maxx.  I was first going to check out the attire offered at the church toy/clothes swap but one thing led to another and that didn’t happen. Then I was going to purchase her clothes from ebay but the shipping and handling was a bit too high to my liking and then if my daughter didn’t fit into the clothes either to small or to big would have been quite a hassle to deal with as some sellers don’t respond back, etc… Overall new clothes at affordable prices that would be passed down to my next children over weighed all the other possibilities.

My in-laws visited on Sunday for the holiday and we had a nice meal together. My mother-in-law made a tasty taco salad to go with the chips and dip my sister in law brought. Dessert was apple pie along with ice cream and p&b cookies supplied and baked by yours truly.   My Wii Resort game  seemed to be a big hit.  My father-in-law and sister in law had fun playing the various mini games such as archery, bowling, and sword fighting with my husband and I as my daughter napped and my mother-in-law went shopping.

Today my husband and I kicked back and relaxed. We had a yummy meal of ribs, veggies, rice, fries, and dessert. I got more reading done while watching my husband play Zelda on the wii , we caught up on watching Defying Gravity on Hulu, and I spent time playing an online golfing game with my mom and sisters.

I’m really looking forward to starting Teach My Toddler with my daughter tomorrow. It was nice to relax over the weekend but now it’s time to get back into the swing of things!

How did you spend your Labor Day?
