Fun in The Park 2009

What a week it’s been! Heat waves, complaining neighbors, crashing computers, and disgruntled blog readers…oh my! Such is life!  God never gives you more than you can bear, to say the least. “God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength but with your testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it” (1 Corinthians 10:13) It’s so good to be able to get into the Word of God and to be reminded that God is FAITHFUL!

After the weeks drama it was nice to get out this weekend! My husband, daughter, and I headed to Fun in the Park today. We got there 30mins before it officially started because we didn’t want to have to stand in line for over an hour to get our free caricatures done.  For the past three years of living here we’ve attended this fun family event and made it our tradition to get our pictures drawn.

In the photo above you can see from the left to the right myself ( I look bloated), Melody ( very sweet), and my husband ( he of course wanted something off the wall… guess that’s why he married me…LOL). The guy who drew our caricatures is named Steve. Steve, is the world’s fastest caricature artist! How neat is that? You can learn more about him at his site Gator Grafx.

Despite not staying very long we enjoyed our time there this year. My husband got to try out the new Wii Game Wii Sports Resort and because he got a bulls eye on the archery game, he won a Game Crazy water bottle. We are planning on getting that game when it comes down in price a bit because it seems like loads of great family fun.
