Speaking of new things, I was able to try out some pretty taste spices from Tsp Spices over the weekend. I love cooking and trying new recipes and spices so I was pretty happy with this opportunity.
Tsp Spices was founded by a couple of Southern girls who wandered north, as they say it! I’m also a southern girl ( Georgia Peach) that has now wandered North ( Oregon). They promise vibrant tastes with organic spices that are free of additives and fillers and packaged to preserve their freshness. They also make them easy on your storage system and pleasant to look at when they’re on your counter. If you’d like to learn about the bird on their packaging, you can find out HERE.
What makes Tsp Spice different? Well, each of their spices come in very stylish and tasteful tins. Each tin contains 12 individual 1 tsp spice packets and some also come with recipes. In doing so, this makes these spices great gifts for family and friends. I imagine that leaving these out on the counter wouldn’t cause things look tacky as some things would.
I was able to review the Sunshine Set which includes Lemon Zest & Orange Zest spices. I used the Lemon Zest in a marinade for the fish my husband grilled out over the weekend and boy was it good! I also used the Orange Zest in a cup of hot chocolate! The choices are endless in what you can do with these spices! You can check out a variety of recipes here at their site for a few examples.
