Copied from WIKIPEDIA: The National Day of Prayer is a day designated by the United States Congress as a day when people are asked to come together and pray, especially for their country. It was created as a floating holiday in 1952 and fixed on the first Thursday in May by Ronald Reagan.

I’m thankful today that we can pray, freely to God and are able to come together at prayer rallies whether they are at schools, campuses, churches, or even online rallies & webcast to pray for our country.
The theme for this year is “Prayer… America’s Hope” and is based on the verse from Psalm 33:22 which states: “May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you.”
Today, let us pray for Pray for our Government, Military, Media, Business, Education, Church, and Family.
