The Bible Jumble for Kids is a fun puzzle book that features a total of two hundred Bible based and themed puzzles! There are six categories which include: traditional jumbles, mystery person jumbles, jumble detective, jumble criss-cross, find the jumbles and Bible passage jumbles.
If kids are a little lost or just can’t figure out one of the puzzles, there is a themed Bible verse reference at the top of the page. Also, all the answers are in the back of the book.
An example of jumble in the Mystery Person category is as follows: Mystery Person #20 “One Who Washed His Hands” verses Matthew 27:11-26. Clues include Jewish Religious Leader, Not Guilty, Something Unexpected, and To Let Go to name a few. And if you haven’t figured it out, the jumble is referring to Pilate.
I think this a great book for kids! You can easily bring it along on vacation for those long flights or the seemingly never ending times on the road! Though not limited to vacation times, your child can enjoy this Jumble book any day of the week and it could even be incorporated into a daily or weekly personal Bible study lesson.

Give This Christmas Away (101 simple & thoughtful ways to . . .) by Matthew West
Christmas is the time of the year when consumerism is at it’s peak. People rush here and there sadly trying to snag the best deal on gifts big and small at whatever cost it may take to get it. The Holiday season which should be stress free become frustrating and rather a hassle, not at all what it should be.
What if Christmas Looked Different this year? What if we all just give this Christmas away? Matthew West asks these two question in his latest book Give This Christmas Away.
If you are a Veggie Tale fan like myself, you may recall the song “Give This Christmas Away” which is a duet between Matthew West and Amy Grant from the latest movie Saint Nicholas: A Story of Joyful Giving, a movie that brought me to tears.
Little things matter, trust me they do. You don’t have to have gobs of money to be an encouragement to someone. All it may take is a helping hand, a card letting them know you thought of them, fresh baked cookies and an invitation to come over and have tea. God blesses us in so many ways that through those, we can bless others.
If you are all out of ideas of your own on how you can can minister to those around you, Matthew West has written up 101 ways to give this Christmas away. I literally read this book in about on hour. I took a few notes of my own from the inspiration given to me from random stories through out this book. I love how each story is a word of testimony and a Bible Verse to match ends everyone. I challenge everyone to pick up this book and be a blessing to those around them not just during the Holiday season but every chance that you get!
It’s time to think outside the box and not just about what’s inside of it!

No More Headaches: Enjoying Sex and Intimacy in Marriage
By Dr. Juli Slattery / Tyndale House Are you sometimes afflicted by bouts of “I’m not in the mood”? Here’s a prescription that will restore your marital intimacy to joyful health! With the warmth and understanding of a close friend, Dr. Juli Slattery honestly addresses men’s and women’s different needs to help you and your husband enjoy the satisfying sex life God intends. 208 pages, softcover from Tyndale. |
I read No More Headaches: Enjoying Sex and Intimacy in Marriage in a about a week, which for me as rather quickly. I found myself captured by the realness of this book and couldn’t find it in myself to put it down. I think it goes to show how much women really need a book like this in dealing with the know hows of understanding sex in a God centered marriage relationship.
Author Juli Slattery has done a great job discussing the sensitive subject of sex by communicating a little more than her own hurts and frustrations. Sex is not the easiest subject to understand and talk with each other about, but in this book ways are suggested to approach it cautiously.
Through scripture and real life stories the reader is shown several different approaches in their own behavior to help heal & mend their own personal sexual relationship. You’ll find issues dealing with pornography, a man’s sex drive, fatigue, children, boredom, past sexual issues, your body, and more.
Sorry guys, this book is written for women, though I am sure a man could definitely learn a thing or two. Ladies, if your spouse is interested, you could go through the chapters together and talk about the various information found throughout this book. I think it’s good for not only women to understand the differences of man but also for men to understand the differences of woman when it comes to sex.
I would recommend this book to married and engaged women of all ages, as I know we all could use it in handling the good, bad, and ugly relational issues that come with marriage. 5 stars!
