The Day After Thanksgiving

No Black Friday shopping for us. Yes, the deals are great but to get out in all that is not quite my cup of tea…plus I’m sure it’s not advised for any pregnant lady! I’m 33 weeks pregnant and I know I am getting really close to having this baby soon as I’ve been having more aches, pains, and contractions! I’ve been having such awful headaches but woke this morning without it…a five day in a row headache is not fun!
Thanksgiving 2010 didn’t quite go as planned but that’s okay. Our plan was to get together with our friends who also have a little girl my daughter’s age and have the big meal together as well as fellowship by playing games and making Christmas tree ornaments. That unfortunately didn’t happen. Our friends caught colds and we all decided it was best that they stay home and get better. We plan on getting together with my in-laws tomorrow.
Our Thanksgiving Meal consisted of Ham, Cranberry Sauce, Sweet Potato Souffle, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Biscuits, and Peas n’ Carrots. I did most of my cooking the day before Thanksgiving so I could relax more the day of. I also ended up putting the Christmas tree up on Monday not knowing how the week was going to play out. If you know me personally, you know that I feel better when things are in order and plans are made. I just work a whole lot better that way and there’s nothing wrong with that!
We ended up watching How to Train a Dragon together Thanksgiving evening and we loved it! I highly recommend this movie! It’s great for the whole family and my two year old daughter really liked it too. The story is impacting and the visuals are truly amazing! My hats off to Dream Works for making such a great movie, there was nothing I didn’t like about it!
