You just never know when a baby is going to get their teeth in. And this was totally the case when my baby boy started getting his bottom two teeth in at 5 months and then his top two teeth only weeks later. This was not the case with his sister! She didn’t get her first teeth till she was eight months old. And with teeth coming through comes lots of drooling, crankiness, and chewing on everything to ease the pain.

In light of possibly one of the roughest times every baby and parent go through together, Little Toader has brought us a reason to smile with their clever and effective Appeteethers!

These soothing teethers are pretty clever as there’s the Chompin’ Chicken Wings and Baby-Q Ribs! APPETEETHERS are soothing for baby’s gums and safe because they are non-toxic and Phthalate free, BPA free, PVC free, and lead free. They come in a variety of colors and are textured! So when you are munching down on your favorite wings or ribs recipes you can safely offer these to your little one as a substitute!

My baby boy is quite a fan of his Chompin’ Chicken Wing teether. And I know without a doubt this teether is going to be even more of a Godsend when he starts getting those molars in! It’s the perfect thickness and it’s got textures that are great for soothing his sore gums. And it’s worthy to go out with us to places where a lot of noise isn’t permitted. Yes, I’m referring to those teethers that squeak and make noises. Overall, I think this one would make a fun gift and great teether for anyone with a teething baby!

You can purchase this particular teether for 14.99 at Little Toader. Be sure to check out their other nifty products too!

This company which I’ve spotlighted before specializes in lots of organic baby & children toys not to mention other items such a those used for eating, wearing, and tote bags great for keeping it green!

My 7 month old baby boy playing with his new friend!

Let’s talk more about the Bear Teething Blanket! My eyes were right away drawn to the soft colors and whimsical designs. The swirls and circles are definitely attention grabbers for a baby too! I noticed the knots which would be great for a teething baby and how it has been for my son! This toy is made from sustainable organic cotton fiber and is filled with corn fibers which makes for an oh so soft companion.

A few weeks ago, I introduced bear to my seven month old baby boy and I’m happy to say this toy has been a hit! My son can spend a good amount of time exploring his new fun friend. My son has been enjoying teething on the knots as well as well as kissing and crinkling this toy. It’s so fun to watch my son play. And since this toy gets played with a lot, it’s been to the wash several times and I’m happy to say it’s still holding up very well!

This toy makes a great teether.

The size of the Bear Teething Blanket makes it easy to throw in a bag for on the go. This little bear I’m sort of pushing to become a lovely for my son since he’s having such a hard time being away from mommy. So anytime my son is upset, I give him this toy as a security item. It’s something familiar and from home making him the perfect take-along buddy. I only wished that this toy had a hooking type loop so it would be easy to attach it to stroller, grocery cart, or car seat. Other than that there’s nothing I don’t like about this toy.

You can purchase Dandelion Classic Organic Toy Bear Blanket for 11.50 right now on Amazon with free super saving shipping! Owen’s first teeth showed up last week! My daughter didn’t start getting her first teeth till she seven months old! Though it varies for all children, I suspected it was going to be sooner for him. I knew the early symptoms all too well…the clingy moody behavior, odd sleeping patterns, biting of everything, a bit of a loss of appetite and the low-grade fever.

What was worse is that this week my family came down with a cold. So on top of Owen’s teething woes, he also caught the cold we had. It’s been a bit of a rough week for all of us but finally things are looking up.

I was armed and ready for the teething as I went through it once before with my daughter. And I’m a bit less frazzled this go around, thank goodness. As a first time parent you are kind of clueless for awhile!

I usually don’t like to give my kids medication but when they seem really miserable and there seems to be nothing I can personally do I tend to sway toward that direction. During some evenings when Owen just won’t go to sleep though he is so tired and without a doubt his gums are bothering him, I reach for the Boiron Homeopathic Medicine Camilia Teething Relief Single-Use Oral Doses. Shortly after giving that to him, he sleeps no problem. This product cost around 5.00 at my local grocery store for twenty doses but I just found out you can get a two pack of twenty for just 7.95 on Amazon! Needless to say, I’ll be purchasing this product from Amazon.

During the day time for his teething I swear by Sophie the Giraffe Teether. He does have a few other teething toys but this one is his favorite. And I love Sophie because she’s made of 100% natural rubber and uses food-grade paint meaning she’s safe so I don’t have to worry about lead paint or anything like that. She’s easy for Owen to handle. She’s got many great areas for Owen to munch down on to ease his teething pain such as the nubs on her head, her ears, and her feet. I think she’s cute and perfect for either a boy or girl. Her colors are soft and spots are probably visually stimulating to a baby. This toy does squeak so I would recommend keeping it away from animals like dogs. Owen finds the squeak amusing and laughs at it! She may seem steep in price for around 20.00 but note you’ll probably not have to buy another teether again! She’s built to last!

I’m also a big fan of the Baltic Amber teething necklaces! They worked great with my daughter and are totally helping Owen out too! Immediate differences have been the lack of drooling! They come in a variety of colors and other than the healing and helping properties I think they are really cute!

My little guy at 4 1.2 months old already has a few favorite toys! I have to admit it’s really fun to see how engaged they can get with a toy! Currently he’s in love with his Lamaze Octivity Time Toy which is recommended to babies ages 6 months and up.

Lamaze Octivity Time Toy is super vividly colorful! And in this house the more color the better. Toys with bright colors always seem like more fun with kids! This toy has clinky rings, a spinning starfish, a seahorse teether, a mirror, and legs that feel soft, make crinkly noises, and more! There’s even a Velcro strap on the bottom which is perfect for attaching this toy onto a stroller, car seat, crib rail, you name it!

My son is really good at grasping and holding things so this toy for him is the perfect companion! He can spend quite a bit of time laying on his back, on his belly, or when in his car seat happily engaged with the octopus! He’s actually already starting to cut teeth so the little seahorse teether is very welcome at the moment! He also really likes the crinkly arm right now. A toy that’s eye catching, great for feeling different textures, and promotes baby to listen to different sounds is a mom and baby favorite!

We took this toy along with us on vacation a few weeks ago and I’ll have to say that it was a good move. Octopus kept my baby boy happy at the hotel and on the two hour trip there and back again. I highly recommend this toy and if you aren’t into Octopuses, I know they have other fun animal designs such as an elephant, moose, owl, peacock, and more!

Buy it: We purchased the Lamaze Octivty Time Toy for 19.99 at CSN Stores.com a few months ago. I sort of have a healthy obsession with Smart Mom Jewelry. And am beyond thrilled my latest Zebra printed pendant and Mother of Pearl bangle which are the latest additions to purchase!

I was introduced to this mom and baby friendly jewelry three years ago when my first child was born and to this day my collection has grown drastically which isn’t a bad thing since I plan on having more children that’ll get good use out of it!

Now if you know nothing about this line of jewelry you should know it was specifically created to keep mom fashionable without having to worry about baby choking or chewing on potentially unsafe accessories and to keep your baby during the whole teething phase. I think these necklaces & bangles are genius because we all know once your little one can get a hold of things that it’s going directly into their mouth.

The Smart Mom Jewelry line is great! They have a variety of styles and colors to choose from. I like how the styles mimic those ever popular stone circle pendants. I had lots of people appalled at me at first because that thought I was letting my daughter chew on stone. They were relieved after I explained to them what my child was chewing on and thought the idea of it was ingenious! I like these so much that I wear them even when I don’t have my daughter with me and was even complimented on them. I was quite amused and pleased that people couldn’t tell the difference!

Smart Mom Jewelry also has pretty cute heart pendants, bangle bracelets, and even key chains! These pieces are safe for your baby or toddler to teeth and tug on. All pieces are non-toxic, phthalate, BPA, PVC, lead free, and even dishwasher friendly. All the pendants come with a breakaway clasp as an added safety feature. Though you should never leave your child alone with a pendant due to safety reasons.

This jewelry has made me happy were I can accessorize and not worry about the safety of my child. I’m a baby wearing mom so my children are usually always pretty close to me. These accessories have made both my children pretty happy too because neither of my children are given a pacifier so they had nothing to chew on while I was carrying them around before.

I would have to say that the hardest part about purchasing this jewelry is picking it out due to the gorgeous variety! I can purchase happily knowing also that a percentage of all retail sales goes to CureSearch and Dress for Success, two great charitable organizations.

Special Promotional Code! Enter “S-SMJ” at checkout for 20% off!

Buy it: Teething Bling Pendants are $19 and bangles are $12.75 a piece. Though right now in celebration of Spring, pastel bangles are 50% off. Purple, blue, pink, green, yellow – mix and match. Get them before they are out of stock because they are only $6.30 each and I’m sure they’ll go quick!

Smart Mom Jewelry makes a great shower or new baby gift – and don’t forget: Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 8th!

I was certainly amused by their Appeteethers.

Another one of the products offered by Little Toaders are StoryBook Pj’s of which I was able to review . Unfortunately the pj sample I was sent doesn’t quite fit my son yet and it was too small for my daughter.

The Storybook Pj set comes with a board book which is titled “A Safari with Boppo the Hippo,”. The fun thing about the pjs and the board book is that the images on the pj’s helps tell the story! I found the illustrations quite interesting. They look as if the story itself is a dream! Pretty neat, if you ask me.

The PJs are 100% cotton with a full-length zipper front and zipper guard, slip proof feet, and are available in sizes 6 months to 2T.

You can purchase Little Toader products right on their site and other retailers online. Coming soon are new teethers, pj sets, and sippy cups!

**Disclaimer: The product/s mentioned above will be given to me free of charge from the company or PR firm in exchange for being featured on Connected2Christ.

I’m so glad that SuperMama asked if I would review one of her Amber Teething Pain Relief Necklaces. I was just about to try a few other methods in order to help ease my daughter’s teething pain. Right now Melody is working on getting some back molars in and she’s been pretty sad about it. The wakefulness and restlessness doesn’t do anyone in our household any good.

The Baltic Amber Teething Pain Relief Necklace from SuperMama is a 100% natural way to help prevent teething pain as well as to put a stop to excessive ammount of drool. These necklaces are typically designed in size for babies and infants from 2 months to 2 years of age. And it releases natural oils with proven calming, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects when worn against the skin

My daughter has been wearing this necklace on and off for about a week now. I’ve noticed big changes in the days she wears the necklace compared to the days she doesn’t. That’s proof enough for me that this really works. As, on the days she wears it, she doesn’t want to put absolutely everything on her mouth and she actually has taken naps. I don’t keep this necklace on her when she sleeps because the thought of her air flow becoming blocked scares me but as soon as she wakes, the necklace goes back on.

These necklaces are created with the safety of children in mind. For instance, each single bead is knotted so if the necklace breaks, your child wont be able to get a hold of very many to ingest. Speaking of ingestion, if your child does swallow one, know that each bead was selected so that if the baby ingests a bead, they will simply pass it through harmlessly.

A little more information on Baltic amber…

Sold in European pharmacies for generations.

European babies have worn necklaces of pure Baltic amber, prized for their beauty and soothing qualities. Worn against the skin, the Baltic amber of the Teething Necklace releases natural oils with proven analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects that soothe teething pain and reduce drooling. Each pure, natural Baltic amber bead of your Teething Necklace is individually knotted for safety and durability, creating a cherished gift of lasting beauty and pain relief for any baby you love.

Overall Thoughts…

I’m all for natural remedies in helping ease pain, if I can forgo the Tylenol and the teething gels, I definitely will, no question. I would totally recommend this necklace as a means to help reduce the pain of teething in your child.

$26, BUT, when you think about all the money you spend on tablets, gels, and other pain relief products for baby, it’s really not such a bad deal.

SuperMama Teething Pain Relief Necklaces retail for $26.00 each. You can purchase and learn more about these necklaces at http://www.supermamaonline.com/

I found a new one wanted to shed some light on it.

So, have you heard about the RiNGLEY? It’s natural organic teething toy that combines untreated Canadian Maple and 100% organic cotton terrycloth.

There are two different types, the straight, which is the one I was sent and the knotted which has 2 large knots in the cloth. The difference between the two is really personal preference. I would keep in mind also that younger babies may have trouble fitting the two large knots into their mouth from the two choices.

I was graciously given one to review for my 11 month old daughter. Currently, my daughter has three teeth coming in. Yes, it’s been a bit of nightmare with her putting everything in her mouth. I’m going to admit that the TV remote looked more appealing to her than the Ringley at first. I had an idea and dampened the Ringley. I put it in the freezer for a few hours, and then the TV remote was a thing of the past. Take note that I typically freeze damp wash cloths for her to chew on to relieve the pain associated with teething. Eventually she would figure out how to rip strings out of them and tear the cloths up but with the Ringley, I’ve not had that happen.

I really have enjoyed reviewing this product and will be recommending it to everyone I know!
