Love Your Pets – Pet Tag Review
Protecting your pet is protecting a member of the family and one of the most reliable ways to ensure the safe return of any pet is a pet id tag. I learned after doing some research of my own that shelters have reported that 90 percent of tagged animals are returned to their owners, so I knew I had to start looking for the right tag for our cat.
While browsing the internet for personalized pet identification tags, I came across Love Your Pets. While on their site, I learned that Love Your Pets was established in 1981 and to this day is a family owned and operated business that promises affordable pet id tags with a lifetime guarantee.
I was given the opportunity to review several styles and colors of Love Your Pets ID Tags that are currently available on their site. I found the whole ordering process very easy to use! I first choose from the three available shapes which are a circle, heart, and bone that I wanted. I then choose what material I wanted the tags to be made of, which includes brass, plastic, and stainless. After deciding which type of tag, I was brought to a drop down menu which offers suggestions for the lines of text for the type of tag you are creating such as pet, medical, luggage, and custom to create whatever you so choose. Each tag can have up to six lines of text.
An added feature that I love is that I could preview what my ordered tags would possibly come to look like with text as I typed it out! This feature helped me know the limit of letters for each line and how it would possibly look like once engraved upon the tag! Once my order was placed in the system, I received my tags in just days! They weren’t kidding when they promised fast delivery!
Love Your Pets ID Tags are extremely durable! I was very impressed with quality of each of the tags I ordered. The tags are thick and durable and the the letters are perfectly stamped with no flaw at all. Note that with each tag you order, the jump ring you’ll need to attach it is also included.
Usually when you pay less for a product there’s a good chance it won’t last or stand up over time but that is not the case with Love Your Pets ID Tags at all! These tags will definitely stand up to time and for the price of $3.95 you won’t find a better id tag for your pet or for any other custom need you may have elsewhere!
**Disclaimer: I was given several id tags to review from Love Your Pets. This review is 100% my opinion and has not been edited or reviewed by anyone. I was not compensated in any other way for this product review.**
Holiday Gift Guide: Medsafe Review and Giveaway
As a mother of a small child, it’s very important for me to keep anything that can be potentially dangerous from her.My daughter is currently 18 months old and let me tell you, she’s a real handful at times. You’ll often find her dancing on top of the kitchen tables, climbing up the dressers & bookshelves, and darting for the front door anytime it’s open, all of which keeps me on my toes most of the time.
Did I mention my daughter is very smart, she’s figured out door knobs, she knows how to open water bottles caps, and before I know she’ll be able to get into even more things. I really worry about her getting a hold of medication and this is more of a concern for me since she’s been on prescription drugs since she was about 1 week old. She eagerly awaits her pills each morning and takes them happily. It would scare me to death if she got a hold of her prescription because as it’s part of her daily ritual, she would probably consume a very lethal amount because she treats her pills like candy.
It was a pretty scary realization when I learned that in a a recent report by the CDC, each year in the United States more than 71,000 children age 18 and younger are seen in emergency rooms for unintentional overdoses of prescription and over-the-counter drugs. It also reported that about 1 out of every 180 two-year-olds visits an emergency department for a medication overdose each year. I literally shudder at the thought.
I used to put medications in my bathroom cabinet. Yes, it was high up but the medications were still not that hard for my daughter to get a hold of if she really wanted to get them. I needed a better solution to my troubles and was given just that when the opportunity to review the Medsafe was given to my family and I.
My Thoughts…
In an effort to help parents keep their meds safely secured and their children out of harm’s way, Michael Rebando, a Long Island locksmith of two decades developed an electronic lock-box called MedSafe.
This little safe is the perfect solution to keeping potentially dangerous drugs out of reach from my daughter. It’s so very simple to set up too. How it works is you first decide which medications you’d like to store inside, set your password, and close the door. Four screws are included so if you want to mount this on the wall you can definitely do that too. It’s sleek design makes it look great in any bathroom as well.
Setting the passcode was very simple, and with over 19,500 changeable combinations it wasn’t too hard to come up with a code my husband and I would both remember. And if we ever want to change it again, we can do so quite easily by following the instructions given.
I love the fact that it has a digital lock but my only concern would be to make sure you have an extra set of batteries hanging around. This isn’t a huge issue to me if I am not able to get it open right away but I did notice that the manufacturer recommends an emergency supply of life saving medication be stored in a separate location. Especially if you or your child really needs their medication right away. I’m hoping perhaps they’ll improve on this design and have perhaps some sort of fail safe if it comes to that.
I’m currently storing my prescription drugs as well as some other infant medications and vitamins in my Medsafe. The items I’ve chosen to store are very desirable for my daughter. As you can see from the photos, the safe isn’t very large, it can approximately hold about 15 prescription bottles, it works well for me but perhaps a larger model will be created in due time to hold taller pill containers.
I love companies that give back so it’s fantastic to know that a portion of each unit sold will support teen prescription drug abuse awareness programs through non-profits such as D.A.R.E.
Though I had just a few notable issues, I’m a big fan of the Medsafe and would highly recommend everyone I know to get one! As my mom would say, better safe than sorry especially with younger children as well as teens.

Protection Plus Review

As a mother of a very curious toddler, I’m very concerned about the open sliding doors and windows
in my home. When living in a third floor story apartment, you can’t take chances.
During the Summer time, my husband and I decided it was safer to keep our windows shut in fear of our daughter climbing out of them and becoming severally hurt or worse. You can guess that our apartment was very uncomfortable in keeping our windows shut as no ac unit would fit in our windows and we had no airflow whatsoever for awhile.
I looked at window safety devices but all of them that I found had to be installed by drilling, etc… all which if you do in an apartment, you lose your deposit.
When I was asked to review Protection Plus, a window and door locking device, I was more than eager to try it out! What makes this product different than those other safety locks is that it takes literally seconds to install. Yes, you heard me right, seconds!
To use, simply stick the product onto the inside or outside of the door, and pull the tab on the side of the suction cup to remove it.It is recommended that the surface that you are going to install this one is clean to prevent it from not sticking.
I’ve installed this on the sliding glass closet door in my bedroom, as my daughter likes to get into the closet and pull all my shoes out! This may be fun for her but not for mom who has to clean them all up and then sometimes wander around searching for a match. Once I applied Protection Plus to my closet door, my daughter tried to open the door and wasn’t able too. She gave up and went off to play with something else!
Not sold yet? Here are some other great facts and features;
- Made of heavy-duty PVC materials, with a suction cup backing
- Can be used inside or outside
- Holds a weight of up to 50 pounds
- Serves as a decorative hook for towels, wash cloths, etc.
- Resistant to temperature changes and inclement weather
I can now open my windows and living room sliding glass door in ease, knowing that protection plus is there to keep my daughter and other children from getting into a very dangerous situation.
I recommend these to those with small children, or that may have kids visiting. Though, keep in mind that the possibilities of uses are endless!
Buy it: Protection Plus product comes in three different colors; mint green, light blue or clear. Suggested retail price $19.95 + S&H for a package of 2.
The Protection Plus is also available on www.inventhelpstore.com, a website of innovative new products by InventHelp’s licensing and product marketing partner Intromark Incorporated.
Guardian Angel Bracelet ID Review
As a parent I know one of our worst fears is misplacing our children. Ever since my daughter has started walking, I’ve been holding back in letting her free roam in local areas. Most times when we are out, she’s either in her stroller, on my back in a carrier, or buckled into a child harness. I know my days are numbered when she’ll grow out of her stroller, carriers, and refusal of her harness. So, I’m glad their are products like Guardian Angel Bracelet ID out there that I can write my cell phone on and attach to my daughter’s wrist if she gets lost.
Mom Kimberly Martinez lost her son at the beach for almost 25 minutes. Thankfully, her son was found and returned safely to her. After that frightening experience, Kimberley designed the Guardian Angel Bracelet ID - a waterproof, durable bracelet that you can write your phone number on in case your child goes missing from your care.
I have not had an experience where my daughter has gone missing but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen. Kids are curious and in crowded areas keeping an eye on your children causing them to not wander can be hard, especially if you have more than one to keep up with.
These bands are similar to the ones my daughter is tagged with at church each weekend. These fit perfectly and if adjusted properly, there’s no way these can slip off or be taken off without using scissors to remove them.
Buy it: You can purchase the Guardian Angel Family Pack which contains 10 bracelets for $9.95 at their website. Other larger size packs are also available for purchase. These are great to have handy for grandparents, babysitters, or whoever else you leave your child in care with.
Thanks to Chic Execs a company which was created to promote small business campaigns, I’m was able to let you know about this product.
