Did you know that the “Quest for Zhu™”, the first  feature-length animated from  ZhuZhu Pets® officially comes out on September 27th? If you didn’t, I’m sure the Zhu Zhu fan in your life has been counting down the days! I’m excited to share that we were lucky enough to be able to view this feature before it’s big release and am having the opportunity to give a copy of this movie away to one of my lucky readers!

The “Quest for Zhu” brings the magical Zhu-niverse to life in 3-D stereoscopic animation. Starring the four original ZhuZhu Pets® characters (Pipsqueak, Mr. Squiggles, NumNums and Chunk), the “Quest for Zhu” is an adventurous, heartwarming and heroic tale that Zhu-natics of all ages are sure to love.

We enjoyed this movie a lot! My daughter who loves her Zhu’s has already watched this movie many times! I’m loving that this feature teaches children the importance of friendship, love, working together, and forgiveness.  There are a few songs in this movie which had my kids both moving, dancing, and singing a long!

There weren’t any huge plot twist or anything but Quest for Zhu was bearable to watch along with your child in my opinion. Usually talking animal movies get on my nerves but this one didn’t! The humor was cute and there was no suggestive themes or inappropriate content. I really appreciate a clean family friendly movie and the Zhu’s don’t disappoint!

We had a Zhu Zhu Pets Royal Wedding play-date party this week. The timing couldn’t have been better since we all know that there’s been quite a buzz in itself of the coming together of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton. And this is fun way for kids to take part and have fun with all things royal in their own little Zhu Universe.

To begin festivities, my daughter excitedly dressed  Princess Snowcup and Prince Dashington for the wedding festivities that were being held at the royal Zhu Castle! She also brought many of her stuffed animals as well as her other Zhu Zhu pets to take part in the big celebration! We would have loved to hold festivities outdoors but the weather just wasn’t in our favor.

Despite the weather, Princess Snowcup arrived at the castle just in time and after the two were married they were able to dance in the Zhu Ballroom! I have to admit that watching the little hamsters dance about was really cute! My daughter giggled in delight in watching too!

Following the ceremony we had a reception in which we served up coconut peanut butter and ginger cream cookies served along with a royal tea. The goodies were absolutely perfect for for any type of party especially that with royalty involved.   The party was a hit and I guarantee that more royal events are ahead in Snowcup and Dashingtons future in our home.

The Hexbugs are a hit in our house!  For such a simple design it’s amazing how much they look like real bugs when they’re speeding around.  My 3-year-old daughter thinks they’re the coolest things ever and carries them around in her pocket, letting them out to play now and then.  Oh, and the removable bunny ears are a cute holiday addition. 

Overall we think the Hexbug Nano’s are awesome toys! I am sure kids will love the collect them in a multiple variety of colors with their own special detachable parts and habitats. I think all the different bugs they offer are really cool such as the ant, crab spider, inchworm, and more! Did I mention there’s even glow in the dark ones! These are the only bugs I can pretty much permit in my home! And with that being said, maybe this will keep those rambunctious boys from bringing real ones in!
