I was sent one of the four ounce sized  Yum Yum Bowls to share my thoughts upon. This bowl is very eye catching, in fact the entire collection is offering colors  in cherry red, sunshine yellow,pistachio green and bold blue. On the inside of the bowl it reads “Yum Yum time is…and on the bottom of the bowl says “Over.” How cute is that? A reminder that even though we may want to eat more that we should stop at one serving!

The bowl itself also comes with a clear plastic lid for storing. This makes it easy to plan your desired snacks ahead of time!  Each bowl, is ceramic making it safe for the microwave and the dishwasher though it’s recommend to hand-wash. These are high quality and can be bought in sets of four at the price of $24.00.

These bowls are great for serving up snacks like pretzels, yogurt, fruits, nuts, ice cream, and much more! And not just great for moms but for kids too in teaching them about servings and when to stop!  I don’t know about anyone else but I have a son that will eat until he has a stomach ache! Portions are key! And don’t forget, they also have 9 inch dinner plate to help with portion controlled dinners too!

If you are a lover of seafood, you no doubt have a favorite tool that you go to when cracking through shells and De-veining your shrimp. In fact you might have several different tools that you keep at hand. As much as you may love each for a specific reason altogether, using more than one is just not needed, especially with the Progressive International Seafood Scissors, which is the number one tool used in my household when it comes to cracking through crab, lobster, and for De-veining shrimp!

Here are my husband’s thoughts ….

We got the Progressive International Seafood Scissors and I bought a crab and I started cutting.

The curvature of the blades makes renting the crab shell asunder, weather it’s the back shell, or the legs. Two quick snips and you can pull the leg shell apart and the meat can be extracted with ease.

There is also a toothed crusher in the handles if you prefer to pulverize the shell. I found this most effecting for removing the legs from the rest of the crab.

Even if you only prepare/consume crab, or similar crustaceans, on rare occasion, these scissors will make your life a whole lot easier, and make the experience a whole lot easier. If you are a frequent devourer of said foods, these are inexpensive enough (but crafted finely) to get one for each of the whole family. It will ease the work of removing the shell as your eat, but keep all of the messy fun.
