Natures Notebook Review
Artist Courtney Noelle has captured a way to share her love for the ocean and beaches with those around her through her company ” Natures Notebook”. Courtney inscribes personal messages of all kinds from names to inspirational words in the sands of California’s beautiful beaches.
About the Company:
Nature’s Notebook was born of a spiritual connection to the ocean and its beaches. Drawn to the soft sandy edges of the sea, artist Courtney Noelle has always felt inclined to inscribe words or names, thoughts or dreams into the ever-changing landscape of the beach. Something about its tumultuous fate, an uncertainty that parallels our own lives, makes sea sand the perfect tablet for expression.
And what better way to capture that expression, the memory and the magic of the beach forever, than in a photograph.
Courtney Noelle began sharing these captured moments with friends and loved ones through gifts and cards. Soon, people were talking about these special snapshots, encouraging Courtney Noelle to make these gifts available to anyone. Touched, and eager to share this passion with the world, Courtney Noelle began Nature’s Notebook, an online collection of photographs and cards using the seas’ tranquility to express love and emotion.
These make wonderful wedding, anniversary, mothers, fathers, and graduations gifts. Know also that ten percent of the proceeds from buying the print Strength will benefit the Breast Cancer research foundation.
Dana Elle’s Review
I love candles! Who doesn’t? The National Candle Association recently stated that candles are burned in seven out of ten households – and those numbers are growing! Candles in my opinion make the perfect gift!Dana Elle’s offers beautiful soy candles in elegant artisan hand-blown glass containers. Carla Lesko, the owner of Dana Elle Candles works side by side with the Portland Maine Glassblowing company to create on of a kind glass holders for each sensational soy blended candle. Each candle is claimed to burn for well over 70 hours. Many wonderful scents are offered such as Water Lily, Lavender Sea, and Cinnamon Bark to name a few.
This companies name comes from this artisans 4 year old daughter. Carla realized that developing a brand and raising a child share similarities. You hope to instill certain traits and values in your children that you also tend to express in your brand. Their products are graceful, elegant and creative. Our business is genuine, intelligent and charitable.
I was sent the “Pretty in Pink” candle which is a a blend of pomegranate, pink grapefruit, rhubarb and lemon zest. This is a special candle as each time it’s sold, 25% of the proceeds are donated to breast cancer research. I love the smell of this candle and look forward to lighting it each evening. It’s wonderful fragrance lifts my spirit and fills my home with such a lovely smell.
I love the fact that all of Dana Elle’s products are created by local Maine artisans. I myself have lived in Maine for several years and grew to love all the wonderful local art.
I think these candles would brighten anyone’s day and make wonderful additions to the home. Do check out them out for yourself at www.danaelle.com.
Thanks to Chic Execs a company which was created to promote small business campaigns, I’m was able to let you know about this product.
Polka Dot Tot Shop Review and Giveaway
If you read my blog, way back in the day, you may remember my post about the Polka Dot Tot Shop. I was then and still am now quite impressed with with all the uniquely fun items offered! I enjoy visiting from time to time just to see what new bright and colorful items will wow me next!
The Polka Dot Tot Shop offers lots of unique items for children and adults alike. This time last year my baby girl was just born and I was on a mission to find her some soft toys to play with. My sister told me about Heather’s shop and without hesitation, I bought a cloth jingle ball and a set of cloth play blocks. I loved these items then and I still love them now. My daughter and I have had a wonderful time playing with the blocks and ball. This ball will always be special to me because she first uttered the word Ball when we were playing with it!
Heather, creator of the Polka Dot Tot Shop generously offered a one of a kind unique Birthday Appliqued shirt for me to review for my daughter’s first birthday. I love this shirt! I was thrilled that Heather went the extra mile and added a butterfly to match my party theme! This shirt is too cute and defiantly like the blocks and ball, will be cherished for years to come.
Visiting the Polka Dot Tot shop is such a treat, you’ll find not only the blocks, balls, and Birthday shirts I mentioned but you also find;
- Stylish Reusable Birthday banners
- Appliqued onesies/shirts
- FaBric CaRds
- Easter Eggs
I’ve enjoyed getting to know Heather and have interviewed her for my Etsy meet and great!
1.Why did you decide to start doing this on etsy and how long have you been?
I started selling on DiapperSwappers in the WAHM forum and loved it and then moved to Etsy a few months later. I opened shop on Etsy Jan 1, 2008. So only a little over a year ago.
2. What do you enjoy the most when creating your products?
Oh, I love coming up with new designs. And of course buying fabric…I have a bit of a fabric addiction! HA!
3. Apart from creating things, what do you do?
I am a stay at home mom/family manager! I have 2 busy kids, a 2 yo girl and almost 8yo boy, that keep me very occupied!
4. What inspires you?
My children! I love coming up with new items for them to wear/play with! I also love beautiful fabrics and lots of color!
5.In five years you’d like to be…?
Doing the same thing really! I know it would be ideal to get busier but I like where I am now. I don’t want Etsy to become my job(even though it is really)…thats not as much fun as calling it my “hobby”! I guess in 5 yrs both of my kids will be in school so really I will have more time to dedicate to Etsy. I don’t want to go back to working outside of the home if I can help it!
