Casper the Friendly Ghost DVD Collection {review}
Synopsis: Casper is the most famous ghost on earth, but unlike his spooky brethren, he doesn’t like to haunt or scare — He spends his time looking to make friends. In the original Paramount cartoons, Casper would often frighten some unsuspecting grown-up while befriending “Little Billy” or a small animal, but he’d then rescue one of them from a perilous predicament to become a local hero. In the Harvey comics, Casper would explore an enchanted forest, while the antagonizing Ghostly Trio would tease and heckle. Friends like cousin Spooky, Wendy the Good Witch and Nightmare the Ghostly Horse round out Casper’s supporting cast.
I’m excited that this 3 DVD collection will be available to purchase for everyone else next Tuesday! I remember watching quite of few of these episodes when I was a child. They were all reruns of course because when this collection was out I wasn’t born yet. I love this collection and that I can re-watch and share with my family all 80 classic episodes. In total there are 7 hours worth of content in entirety! I can’t help but think how wonderful this collection would be great for Casper cartoon marathon during the month of October, though not limited to of course!
My daughter has been seeing all the Halloween things out and about. Some friendly and some much scarier. I like to make Halloween more fun than spooky and frightening so the Casper collection has been fun in getting that message across. My three year old daughter been pretty taken with Casper. He’s a fun friendly ghost that does his best to help those around him. I like the rich music, the fun message, and cute story lines in each of the shorts!
The DVD collection has lots of fun extras which include commentaries with Casper expert/writer Mark Arnold of the book The Harveyville Fun Times, an interview with voice actor Bradley Bolke, a gallery of comic book covers and more.
Also there’s an included 20-page full-color booklet crammed with tons of information including where every episode appears in comic books. It’s a totally blast from the past and I know I enjoyed all the rich history of this lovable character!
Overall, I think this is a collection that most shouldn’t pass up! Pre-order or make sure you pick up your copy when released on October 11th! I guarantee you’ll love the original Casper cartoons!

Costume Super Center {review}
Halloween is only a couple of weeks away! And if you haven’t gotten a costume for yourself or your kids yet I would urge you to start looking now before there’s not much left to choose from! A great place to look online with huge selection of costumes is the Costume Supercenter!
I like that I can find every costume and coordinating accessories for adult, teen pet, child, baby, and infant costumes in one place and very easily! I really am happy with the customer service, the easy to navigate categories, and the simple check out process!
This will be Owen’s first Halloween and I wanted to dress him up in something really cute. You know, before he’ll want to dress up like a zombie, ninja, and wear masks that have oozing gooey things. So completely taking advantage of my son being 9 months old, I choose an adorable get up from the animal Halloween costumes category.
The Lovable Lion Costume was my pick for my son! This costume is wonderful for a infant to toddler being available in size small (6-12 months), medium (12-18months) and large (18 months-2t). It has snaps for easy diaper changes and has skid resistant feet which is wonderful for little ones still learning how to walk confidently. The hood is attached with velcro so if your little one is likely to just rip hats off and what not, take note of that. Though when my son is out and about he totally forgets anything on his head. So that won’t be an issue when out trick or treating and attending friends parties. And I like that it will keep his head warm when it’s chilly out parading through the neighborhood.
This costume is made with 100% polyester so it’s recommended to machine wash cold and hang to dry to keep it looking good. I like the material that is used won’t over heat my child. It’s good to keep your little one comfortable. So I’d recommend just dressing your child accordingly depending on the climate your child will be in. Overall this costume is really cute and quite affordable at only 29.99!
Hurry on over to check out the costumes today! Time is ticking away! Don’t forget to take advantage of the special promotional running right now at Costume Supercenter!
