I thought I had some good headphones, then I got a pair of Corsair wireless ones. I loaded up Star Trek Online, and I heard noises I had never heard before in the game!
My first experience with the wireless was a little spotty, I got interference quite frequently, and all audio stopped for a few seconds now and then. I had the dongle on the front of my computer. I used the included extension cord and plugged it in the back of my computer and put the dongle near my monitor and I now have only infrequent interference. A lot less then I had issue with the cord on my previous set of headphones. The range is plenty good.
They are very comfortable, and fit fully over my ears, rest of my head, and dampen external sounds. They don’t get uncomfortable with extended use normally, and if they do, I just reseat them and all is well again.
Charging the headset is easy, just plug in the USB cord. You can wear them and use them while plugged in if you have to. There are helpful blinking lights so you know when it is charging, or charged, or needs charged,
There is a large button on the side to turn them off and on by holding it down for a few seconds. There is also a spinning volume control accessibly located on the left earpiece under the power button. The mic tilts up and down nicely. It’s stiff, not bendy, which I like. Might break off, however, if struck or bent abnormally. I didn’t test that out, obviously.
The drivers rotate sideways which makes it a lot easier to store the headphones, even if just setting them down on a flat surface (or the precarious paper pile that is my desk).
The sound quality is fantastic. From the bass to the treble, I can hear the rich soundscapes of games, to the many ranges in music.
You can purchase Corsair Vengeance 2000 Wireless 7.1 Gaming Headset (CA-9011115-NA) on Amazon.com for more than 50% the regular retail price!

Courtesy of MomSelect, I was able to recently host a Hexbug Halloween party to spotlight some of the latest offering in the Hex Bug world! These items include, the limited edition HEXBUG Nano Halloween Zombie bugs (retail at $9.99 each)! These bugs are really neat and come ready to gift in their own little coffin shaped packaging. They also have a removable exoskeleton that glows in the dark! Excellent offering as a fun gift and party favor prizes!
We also were sent several of the Habitat sets (retail at $29.99 each) from their glow in the dark Hexbug Nano line as well as HexBugs from the Galielo Collection (retail at $7.99 each). These sets take playing with the Hexbugs to completely different level! Children have lots of fun putting together multiple sets weaving in and out of places to make a really huge track that lights up in places they see fit! With the track sets the mixing things up and the reoccurring playtime factor is huge in prompting constructing in all sorts of new ways to play!
I’m usually not a fan of battery operated toys but these have won me over! These little bugs take batteries which are called Power Cells. And these batteries do last for quite a long time. We’ve had had HexBugs in our home since Easter and their batteries are still working without needing replaced. Though when you do, note that power cells are very affordable at 4.99 for a two pack and are very easy to install.
My own children and friends of our families children really loved playing with these toys and had a blast with all the great Hexbug Nano things we received for our 2011 Halloween Party! Nothing but a good time ensued and everyone is really enjoying all the Hexbug goodies thanks to Mommy Parties and Hexbug giving us the opportunity to promote and review these great toys. I’m sure most if not all of the children that took home habitats and Hexbugs of their very own will be adding more to their Christmas list for 2011 and letting all of their friends know about these fantastically fun toys!
If you are personally thinking about Christmas, keep in mind that HexBugs would be a fun little toy to start collecting for kids of all ages preferably recommend for ages 3 and up. What’s neat too is that included with each bug you purchase is a code in which the owner can register their bug online to learn science and play fun games! Gotta love toys that are not only fun but educational too! Plus, they make great stocking stuffers! Hexbugs are available at major retailers nationwide and at www.hexbug.com

I’m quite the music fan but as of lately, I haven’t been listening to it quite as much as I would like to. Usually my husband is playing a game or my daughter is watching her favorite movie and my music would easily drown it out. I like to listen to music while I am working and note that I do work from home. I would listen to music on my laptop but I have some odd issues with my usb headphones. I’d been looking for an ipod dock for awhile but wasn’t ready to spend big bucks on it and I wasn’t entirely sure where to start with all the different features included.
I came across The chicboom Speaker iPod Case by Rock Buds and little did I know that this was the answer to my music and audio listening dilemma. This device is basically a portable case with two fantastic features! Number one, it stores and protects my ipod and number two, it allows me to share my music with friends and listen out loud wherever I may be. This is particularly useful when I am cooking and cleaning in my kitchen and need some tunes to keep me going!
“The chicboom Speaker iPod Case oubles as an iPod case and a speaker – all in one. And what’s even better…the speaker is invisible, protected behind the streamlined material of the zip up case. “
I will mention if you have an older type of ipod such as the wider ones, it won’t fit as easy. The chicboom Speaker iPod Case works better with the slim line nanos and other small mp3 players.
The sound on this device sounds great and all for the affordable price of $25.00! It’s a real steal and comes in some pretty cute designs too. Tiny enough to take anywhere and fits perfectly in my purse no problem! This would make a great gift for moms, dads, and teenager alike!
