Halloween is right around the corner and though that’s one of the most popular holidays to start looking for the perfect costume for my daughter,  it’s not the only reason I’ve started working on a collection of kids costumes in my home.

Costumes are perfect for pretend play and dress up because it encourages imaginative play in children. I love that my daughter has already embraced this at only just two years old. What could be better than to act out all sorts of fun adventures and stories with your child and them with their friends and siblings?

Just recently I was given the opportunity to review a stunning Plum Pixie Toddler Costume through the Costume Super Center for my daughter.  And I must say to date, this costume is by far one of the most adorable toddler costumes that we’ve owned! As you can see from the photos of my daughter really loves this costume too. I told my husband she would look at home in an enchanted forest and perhaps sitting on top of giant mushroom!

The very elegant a purple chiffon dress with a velour top and the flowered bottom skirt tie together to make a beautiful sprite like outfit. This costume was priced really decently for including the  gossamer wings, a wand and flowered headpiece which for most costumes are sold separately.

I was very impressed with the costume I reviewed and not just that, I loved the massive collection of costumes for everyone in the family! You’ll find everything from pirates, princesses, fire fighters, super heroes, and more! Also if you need make up or certain accessories there are plenty to choose from.

My daughter Melody age two now is quite the fashion diva. She loves to dress up and pick out clothes to wear! Her outfits are usually pretty color coordinated even to the hair accessories she picks out! Sometimes I forget my daughter is just two years old! I love the fact that she’s got an eye for fashion and loves dressing up so I’m always on the look out for some fun costumes to add to her toy box for dress up pretend play!

My Thoughts…

If you visit My Princess Academy, you’ll find many enjoyable interactive games and activities which build skills in the four pillars before mentioned. As your child goes through each level/game, she will gain points to use in the My Princess Academy Shop. Know that this site is geared toward ages of girls three and up though my 18 month old daughter enjoyed watching mommy explore it.

My daughter is definitely our little princess, so I was really thrilled when I saw how affordable the products in the princess academy store were. You’ll find  the store  is filled with dresses, tiaras, wands and boas and more!

My daughter and I were given the chance to review the princess pettiskirt thanks to My Princess Academy! Oh my goodness gracious, it’s adorable! As soon as I received it in the mail, I put it on my daughter right away! She felt pretty special I could tell, and had fun spinning in circles with it on and giggling ever so sweetly.
The pettiskirt is Lilac and Teal Trimmed in color, made of yards of fluffy soft polyester chiffon, a gathered satin elastic waistband and tied with a deluxe satin ribbon. It even comes with its own hanger! Our hanger read explains about the character trait of patience and reads… patience is your ability to wait you turn or work through a challenge. Princesses should try to be patient with themselves and other people and things around them. I love it, your child can have fun playing pretend/dress up as well as learn and  improve her own personal character traits.

I have fallen in love this extra special academy for our super special little girls! I will definitely be stopping by again!
