Sort n’ Learn Pelican from Tiny Love Review
My 14 and 1/2 month old daughter is selective when it comes to what types of toys she plays with and there is nothing wrong with that at all! It shows her personality shining on through to talents and gifts that she’ll share with those around here when she is older. Right now some of her favorite toys are blocks, balls, books, and baby dolls. She’s not huge on toys that make a lot of noise. I don’t blame her since those toys can get on parents nerves and I’m sure I speak for a lot of parents in saying so.
Picking toys is not easy and there is a toy website called ebeanstalk, dedicated to selecting good, safe toys and baby gifts. BUT they need help from moms like me to help pick the toys. The toy they sent is called Sort n’ Learn Pelican from Tiny Love, who makes great developmental toys Here is the deal on this toy…
The toy I was sent is called Sort n’ Learn Pelican from Tiny Love. Tiny Love is a company that makes all sorts of fantastic developmental toys for children ranging from 3-26 months of age.
I had a hunch right away that my daughter would really like this toy. She’s a fan of stacking blocks and puzzles. So this sorting toy was right up her alley.
I’m usually not overly thrilled with toys that I have to continually restock with batteries but this toy is an exception. Three triple A batteries are included and that’s a definite pro in my book. Who hates getting gifts for the kids only to find out that the batteries weren’t included? I decided to check out the area where you install and replace the batteries and liked how the battery compartment completely slides out for ease of use!
The Sort n’ Learn Pelican teaches children different phrases such as colors and numbers in English, French, and Spanish. There is also a mode of which fun sounds are played when each of the included blocks are dropped into the pelican’s mouth!
This toy is great for children 6-36 months old. I can imagine little babies playing with this and dropping the blocks into the mouth of the pelican. Once a child advances from that stage, they can put each block through sorting part of the pelicans mouth. They also can listen to each number and color each block represents to further the learning experience.
I found no sharp corners or edges on this toy making it safe. This toy very durable, I’m not saying that it could live through a child putting all their weight and standing on top of it but I am saying it’s made well. It’s also very easy to clean, I found that I can snap the top part of the pelican’s head off and wipe it down if the need be.
A fun fact is that my daughter enjoyed playing with this toy for over an hour without even having the sound turned on. Though when she learned of all the sounds it made she was even more excited about the pelican. One of her favorite things was that when she put the block labeled one into the pelican, it said one! This excited her because right now we are learning all about counting and numbers.
My daughter loves this toy and I’m a big fan of it as well. I am highly recommending this toy to those looking for a fun mind stimulating toy for the child or children in their life.
Daddy’s Design Snoogie Seat Review

Have you heard about the The Snoogie Seat? If you haven’t you should know that it is a Dad created, baby inspired lounger for newborns. This wonderful lounger for babies was created out of the search for a product that would help prop their babies up.
I was able to review one of these seats and though my 14 month old daughter is a little big for the Snoogie Seat now, I can imagine when she was little that she’d like this a lot better. When she was younger I used my breastfeeding pillows to prop her up of which she wasn’t very well supported in. She on most days would flop over in all direction, get stuck, and become frustrated. If we owned a Snoogie Seat then, this issue would not have a been a problem . Trust me when babies get to a certain age laying on their backs in the last thing they want to do when there’s a big world to explore with their ever so eager eyes.
Each of the Snoogie seats are designed in the the shape of a monkey avaible in brown or pink, with arms that hug your baby as he or she reclines in the seat. The inner cushion is made of cotton/polyester and a fleece removable outer cover, this seat hands down is made to keep your child comfy and cozy ( as you can see from my daughter deciding to take a nap in it, after using it has her personal lounger).
How to keep this clean, simply throw it in the wash and be about your business. I’m loving it and looking forward to using this great product with my next baby, that is if I keep it away from my daughter as she thinks it’s her own personal bean bag. Who can blame her, it’s comfortable and it matches the jungle theme we’ve had going for her since birth.
My husband said he loves Snoogie too. It’s perfect for lounging out with baby watching tv, playing video games, feeding baby a bottle, or reading baby a story! He said he would definetly be more comfortable using this than my breastfeeding pillows with baby too.
You can purchase your very own Snoogie Seat, for $49.99 (shipping is included in the price), at Shop.DaddysDesign.com. I can’t brag enough how great one of these would be for those expecting or already have a little bundle of joy in their lives.

Bla Bla Kids Review
I came across Bla Bla Kids about a year ago. My oldest sister was looking to buy one of the cute little knitted Bugaloo dolls Lee-Lee Plum for her first born daughter. Little did I know at the time that Bla Bla is one of those companies that has been thinking green long before the trend caught on! Since 2001, Bla Bla has used natural fibers and eco-friendly practices. They are mom-friendly too as they’ve hired 200 knitters in Peru who are getting a leg up in the world thanks to holding a well-paying job. They are the first Green handmade toy company to receive the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award 2009.
I was able to review one of their sweet knitted dolls, Pig Rosalie. My daughter loves this doll, she drags her around everywhere, even to bed! This is very soft, and squishy, meaning that in a good way. She also stays together well in the wash. She got to take the plunge since my daughter was sick last week and I didn’t want any germs to spread about or stay contained in the doll. She held up well in the washer and was laid flat to dry.
Among the adorable dolls that can be found at Bla Bla, you can also find backpacks, clothing, blankets, and more wonderfully knitted items decked in bright striped polka dotted cheerful colors.
Any unique item over at Bla Bla would make a wonderfully enchanting gift that would hold up well and be cherished for years and years to come.
