Did you know that tweezers are known to have been used in predynastic Egypt?  Tweezers are something that most everyone has on hand for many needs such as  personal grooming, removing insect stingers & splinters, crafting, and even for working on computers.

I recently was given the opportunity to review the Luma Tweeze from As Seen on Tv. And though I personally won’t be working on any computers with these, I believe they are very handy when it comes to using them for my own personal grooming needs and removing unwanted objects from the skin.

So what’s so special about Luma Tweeze compared to the regular run of the mill tweezers you can pick up in any store? Well, these tweezers are the only precision lighted tweezers with a built-in LED light and magnifier! These features, combined with the stainless steel precision tips, make Luma Tweeze the easiest to use tweezers ever created!

I like that these tweezers give me the wanted magnification and the precision when tweezing. It’s so much nicer than getting blinded by one of those large magnified, very brightly lighted bathroom mirrors! These are great to keep one for around the house and I can throw one in my purse for on the go fashion or bug stinging emergencies. And no worries about  these tweezers damaging anything else whether in my bathroom draw or in my purse with the tips because there’s a cap to go on the the Luma Tweeze when you are through.

Overall,I am pretty happy with this product as it’s very easy to handle!  I consider it a must have for all your tweezing needs.

Our Thoughts…

Being one to lean toward using skin care products that use organic ingredients  I was given the opportunity to review a couple of products from Motherlove to not only use for myself but to also share with my readers here at Connecte2Christ.

The two products I’m here to share my thoughts on today are Motherlove’s Diaper Rash and Thrush Salve and Green Salve. One is a must have product if you have a little one in your home and the other is perfect for the entire family.

Motherlove’s Diaper Rash and Thrush Salve is a product I plan on turning to for all my diaper rash needs! I cloth diaper baby so we rarely see rashes but on occasion a little redness can occur which is quite undesirable for my little guy.  A need to know is that typical diaper rash creams on the market aren’t recommended for cloth diapering because it can cause unwanted build up on your diapers because of the zinc they contain. It’s just really difficult to get that stuff to wash out and it’ll leave diapers needing to be stripped and having to be replaced a lot sooner than it should be!

The Diaper Rash salve from Motherlove is completely cloth diaper safe as it contains no zinc whatsoever. I used this on my son last week and the redness on his little bum cleared up within a few hours, talk about fast and super effective! This salve is available in a 1 ounce container making it the perfect size to just throw in a diaper bag without taking up much space. And though it only comes in 1 ounce know that a little will most definitely go a long way.

The Green Salve from Motherlove, I’m equally impressed with! This product works well for taking the itch out of insect bites, bee stings and poison ivy. It also is great for soothing the discomforts of rashes, chapped and irritated skin.

During the winter, my lips get pretty chapped so I decided to try the Green Salve out on my lips. It worked wonderfully re hydrating my lips and easing any discomfort I had! I honestly am very glad to have the salve on hand for when any bug bites occur and also for any other unwanted skin discomfort my family and I may suffer from.

Overall I encourage you to check out Motherlove for a number of great products for mothers and babies. I found everything reasonably priced starting at $8.50 and up. They have a nice set up whether you want to purchase one product or a gift set for yourself or for someone you know.

I was sent Sunny Days SPF 30+ Face Stick, Happy Face & Body Lotion, &  Helping Hand Wash to review for my daughter. I was pretty excited because I am always looking for great new naturally safe skin and body care products for myself and my children.

Let’s start with the Happy Face & Body Lotion. This lotion smells divine with hints of chamomile and lavender! It’s works well absorbing quickly into the skin and has left my daughter and my own hands and face feeling soft and smooth! I also like that there’s a pump top and that I can lock and unlock it as needed.

The Helping Hand Wash is a great way to teach kids all about personal hygiene and my daughter is loving the fact that this soap is all hers! The directions I found pretty cute as they inform your child to wash their hands for at least twenty seconds or as long as a it takes to sing their ABC’s slowly! This soap smell as equally as good as the lotion we reviewed. I detected a sweet smell of grapefruit! It’s not often I find organically natural products that smell good enough to eat!

We were also sent the Sunny Days SPF 30+ Face Stick. I haven’t got to try this one out yet as it’s still pretty early in the year here in Oregon to actually see the sunshine. I did learn that this product does not contain vitamin A which can accelerate skin cancer. This product is highly rated for safety on SkinDeep/EWG/Cosmetic Database. It’s water resistant, easy to apply, and non-greasy. It’s truly all natural as this mineral-based sunscreen protects from both UVA/UVB rays. I honestly can’t wait to use it. I’m glad it’s an easy stick format as I know how messy using sun lotion with wiggly giggly kids can be!

Overall we’d recommend TruKid and have been very happy with the results we’ve been getting! These products are available on their website for purchase as well as  Trukid at Amazon.com.
