I probably have way more shampoo, lotions, and soaps than I need crammed on the rack in my bathroom. I have quite a bit because sometimes my skin has a negative effect to a product that I wasn’t able to try before I bought it. I want to smell nice but I don’t want my skin to get all dried out or have my skin break out.

Since my skin issues to other products, I’ve discovered the benefits of organic products like the ones offered at Tropical Traditions. What’s so special? Well, many of products like their soaps are made from non-refined, fresh, organic coconuts from the Philippines and no chemical solvents are used in processing.

I was sent Tropical Traditions Coconut soap in Lavender to try out. I found that the soap smell wasn’t overpowering and that it lathered nicely. I’ve been amazed at the results of my skin after using this soap, even my husband likes using it! It’s hard to believe a product that has left my skin feeling so fresh and smelling so delightful only consist of two ingredients!

I like to paint my finger and toe nails! When I had my daughter, I couldn’t wait to paint her nails too!  My only concern with painting her nails was the fact that I knew she probably would end up putting her polish covered fingers and toes in her mouth after awhile. This scared me because I had no idea what chemicals were  in the polish that I was using. I’m also not a very big fan of the toxic odor that comes with most nail polishes either and will admit on an occasion or two, I would get some pretty nasty headaches.

Sweat isn’t a very desirable matter but it’s beneficial to our bodies to help us cool down. I sweat and when I do, I sweat alot!  Stress, constant housework, chasing a toddler around, not to mention the constantly being HOT during pregnancy causes lots and lots of sweat! I really was given the opportunity to try out a new line of baby products from a company called Fresh Organics. As I browsed through their website, I fell in love with cute illustrations that can be found on their products as well as on their site. The cute little ducks, bees, and frogs are oh so adorable and even my daughter thinks they are cute. She points at them and smiles saying Ooooh.

Our Thoughts…

We were graciously sent the shampoo conditioner combo, bubble bath, the moisturizing lotion, and the travel pack to try out.

Melody is really big fan of the Bubble Bath! She starts literally almost jumping up in down when I asked if she’d like to play with bubbles in the tub. Once I brought the Bubble Bath over, Melody opened her duck that covers the faucet so I could pour the bubble bath in to disperse throughout the tub. I only had to use maybe a tsp or two and it made a lot of bubbles! I’m glad this is organic and safe because my daughter wants to taste everything and within seconds decided to lick the bubbles and giggle at mommy.

We tried out next the shampoo and conditioner combo. It lathered very well and smelled great! I appreciated that the smell wasn’t over the top as with some all natural products I’ve tried out with my daughter. I learned quickly after my first use of the product that I only have to use a little bit because a tiny bit really does go a long way in this sense! I love this shampoo because it’s fragrance free, tear free, and  tangle free ( thank goodness, I don’t want to see my baby girl unhappy with knotted hair).

The weather has been getting cooler and we know how that can take a toll on our skin. Every evening, we’ve been applying the velvety soft babee lotion after Melody’s bath. This lotion has noticeably been keeping my baby girls skin soft and smooth without leaving that icky greasy feeling.

I have nothing to say but good about this product and hope soon that it will be carried in more places!

My Thoughts…

The first products I am review is the Burt’s Bees Targeted Spot Treatment.

This product smell very strong so if you are one that is not a fan of strong smelling things, you probably won’t like this product. I on the other hand enjoyed the honey, lemon, and licorice smell.  I applied this product on my undesirable spots and what followed was tingling sensation which is much like when applying witch hazel or any other astringent.  Later that evening my undesirable spots were alot less noticeable! I would use this product again, and really enjoyed the fast acting results!

The second product I tried out is the Burt’s Bees Purifying Gel Cleanser.

This product has a gel type consistency but it’s also pretty loose. I like the fact that very little goes a long way too! I don’t know what it is, but after applying this cleanser I can attest that I can  feel this product working all day long! I go through out my day and instead of feeling icky and oily, my face feels slightly tingly (in a good way) fresh, smooth, and very clean! I have not tried this product after wearing make up but learned that it does and excellent job of removing it! I would also try this product again and recommend it to all my friends!
