Holiday Gift Guide 2011: Plagentra Skin Care Products for Mom & Baby {review and giveaway}
My baby boy has sensitive skin so I’m always on the look out for ways and products to use that will ease any discomfort that he may have. I wash his clothes with special detergent. I use wipes specifically for sensitive skin to wipe his face and bottom. All my sons clothes are completely tag free. I apply lotion to his skin at least twice a day. And during bath time, I use products specifically created to gently cleanses and moisturizes itchy, extra dry skin.
My latest brag worthy skin care products for both mom and baby would have to be from the company Plagentra.They have a entire skin and body product line created specifically to relieve common skin care issues such as eczema, stretch marks, and acne.
This company won awards in…
- Number one in stretch mark care (2011 Korea Satisfaction Consumer Index)
- Number one brand for moms and babies (2010 Korea Satisfaction Consumer Index)
- 2011 best luxury skincare brand (Korean Governments Department of Ministry of Women and Family)
After seeing that these products contain absolutely no steroids, colorants, alcohol, or perfumes, I was quite excited to use them. I was sent two full sized products to review from this company and several samples of their other products. I picked the Foaming Facial Wash for myself and the Mild Wash to use for my son to share my thoughts on.
The Foaming Facial Wash is an excellent make up remover and my total go to wash at the end and the beginning of the day. This facial wash is easy to use and very gentle on my skin. It goes on smooth and rinses off very easily which is a must for any foaming cleansers. I can vouch to have had some bad experiences with foaming washes! I’m so glad I had a great experience with this one.
The fine micro beads in this cleanser do an excellent job of exfoliating skin without being to rough removing unwanted dead skin, dirt, and oils. The scent of this product fragrance free so it’s great for those sensitive to certain smells. My skin looks and feels great after use without sacrificing a thing! I would highly recommend using the Foaming Facial Wash & after such a great experience with it, I am excited about trying out and using the other Mom offered skin care products such as lotions and soaps!
The Mild Wash I’ve been using on my 10 month old son for a week now and will have to vouch that his skin has been so much better! So much better that I’ve seen no itching or scratching of any kind! I don’t even have to use that much either. I simply use the handy pump top bottle to squeeze about a nickel size amount onto a cloth or my hand to cleanse my son. The wash lathers nicely and rinses just as well. And the scent is very refreshing!
This wash is a great supplemental treatment for moisturizing dry skin, such as atopic eczema in infants and adults, psoriasis, ichthyosis, senile pruritus. And it’s formulated to be the same PH as your skin, our body wash soothes skin while keeping it soft and supple. I would highly recommend this product and I plan on purchasing more soon to use on both my kids!
I would highly recommend checking out this company and am excited Plagentra products are available in the US and Canada! Plagentra has an entire skin and body care system, from lotions to soaps, oils to creams, there’s something there for all your skin needs! If you’d like to try before you buy, you can request FREE SAMPLES right from their website.

Sibu Beauty |Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser {review}
I have a great new natural skin care product to introduce from a company called Sibu Beauty. This company prides itself on containing only the best ingredients such as the powerful and nutrient-rich sea buckthorn berry – harvested exclusively from the Himalayas. Each of their products are paraben-free, cruelty-free and preservative-free and promote improved skin tone, texture and overall healthy aging. I was very happy to see that all of their products rated fantastically on the EWG Skin Deep Data Base (0-1) which is the lowest and safest rating a product can get!
I’ve been using Sibu Beauty’s Sea Buckthorn Balancing facial cleanser for a few days now and been quite satisfied with the results that I’ve been getting with the product. This particular product is deep yet gentle. The exfoliating properties are obviously there and are gentle enough to not agitate the skin in any way.
Sibu Beauty’s detoxifying facial cleanser easily removes dirt, impurities and make-up while maintaining a healthy balance in your skin without compromising its natural protective nutrients. After use my face felt fresh & clean throughout the span of the day and I loved how easily it was to use and welcomed the fact that it was a non-foaming gel. I’ve used other cleansers and the foaming was just a bit too much for my liking.
I found this product on sale for 8.98 on the Supplement Warehouse website for a 4 ounce bottle. It usually retails for 17.99 at other places such as GNC and on the Sibu Beaty website. On the Sibu Beauty site, you can purchase the product for 17.95 with free shipping and handling charges though if there’s a GNC around you can pop in and see if it’s available to save you the trouble of buying online. I would recommend this product if you are looking for an all natural facial cleanser that is safe for your skin and for the environment around you.

Philips Norelco Qg3270/41 Multigroom Pro in Silver {Review}
**Guest review written by: Justin N. Lowmaster**
Previous to the Norelco, I had a plug-in ConAir clippers. They cut my hair fine, but the cord was a bit of a bother. I’d normally have to use an extension cord to be able to use it where I would make the least amount of mess. The case it all came in wasn’t all that huge, but it contained a myriad of attachments and finding the right one was a bother. Cleaning the inside of the clippers was a real chore and took far longer than it should. You had to remove the blades to do it. Enter the Norelco.
First thing I noticed was the size. It’s much more compact than my previous clippers. It plugs in to charge, so when I used it, I didn’t have to worry about the cable limiting me or getting in my way.
There are also only a total of 6 attachments, and all are small. There are two sized (width) of clippers, and one adjustable sizing attachment for each. No more digging around for that #2. The clippers and guides work together in harmony, with a pair of designators on the clippers that align with the guides so it’s very easy to see what setting it is on.
The clippers are also super easy to clean. You just take them off and can blow them out and use the included brush to remove the hair waste material. The brush has two different sides that reach and clean all the various bits you might want to clean.
There’s also a nose hair clipper attachment, and a mini shaver. I suggest keeping the latter on when you store the Norelco and attachments in the handy bag. If somehow the clipper gets turned on, it’s least likely to cause any damage. You should keep at least one attachment on to keep the Norelco clean and to keep the moving part grease on the moving parts from getting all over stuff.
The Norelco is a dream. There’s less bits to mess around with, and the bits there are all work fantastically. I cut my hair and beard in no time with none of the fuss of my previous clippers. I adore it.
If you are thinking about purchasing, The Philips Norelco Qg3270/41 Multigroom Pro, Silver can be bought for $39.99 & this item ships for FREE with Super Saver Shipping on Amazon.com.
