I’m always looking for products that will help make my life a little easier. Ease of organization around my house is a must, especially in my kitchen which is a crucial area to keeping the peace, especially around the Holidays when things always seem to get a little more hectic than usual.

Rubbermaid with over 70 years of experience  is a company that I know and trust will have great products available to me when I need them. They’re a brand that represents innovative, top-quality products that help simplify life.

I just recently was given the opportunity to review a great new product from Rubbermaid called Lock-its!  These great canisters have a built-in rubberized seal and four locking tabs which provides extra security to prevent messy spills and keeps food fresh!

One of my favorite Lock-its features is the Easy Find Lids System! My plastic container cabinet is small so it’s really hard to keep anything organized! When want to find a lid for a bowl, we usually have to take everything out and we end up digging for more time on end than we would like. Rubbermaid’s Lock-its eliminate the search for a lid process altogether as these lids snap to each other, snap on the bottom of the canisters, and a few of the lids fit multiple bases. The Lock-its themselves nest together saving room in the cabinet and fridge. Lock-its are also safe for microwave, dishwasher, and freezer!

When putting together  my home-made  biscuit mix, I’ll know exactly how much  I make because on the side of these canisters  ML and Cups measurements are added! These containers are available in 10 sizes! I am definitely a fan and will be looking to add the rest of these fine containers to my collection!

PUR Flavor Options was named the “Household Product of the Year” by Product of the Year USA in January 2009!

The recommend amount of water that an average  person should drink a day is about 8 eight ounce cups to stay healthy and properly hydrated. Sadly,  I think the only time I stuck to that rule was when I was pregnant with my daughter. I am pretty sure I am always shy by at least 3 glasses each day now! I know if I cut either one of my cups or coffee or tea out, I can maintain a bit of a healthier lifestyle!

Speaking of water,  just this past week I’ve been enjoying my new PUR Flavor Options Water Pitcher. I think having a system like this is wonderful and a must have for any household! Did you know that switching from bottled water to filtered whether using a pitcher or one that hooks to your faucet and using a reusable water bottle can eliminate up to 3,200 plastic bottles and save one person up to $600 annually?

I know we used to buy bottled water before we knew about the bad that it was doing on the environment. Now we strictly use reusuable stainless steel bottles for the whole family when going on long or even short trips.

The  features of the PUR Flavor Options Water Pitcher that I really like is the shape and the filter timer! The slender design makes it easy to store in the door of my fridge without too much hustle and bustle! We shop and Costco so we have a lot of big items in our fridge! I joke and tell my husband I have to play Tetris in the fridge and freezer each time we return home with groceries.

The filter timer is so smart! There’s is a little circle on top of the jug lid that is a light that changes from green to red. Red indicates that two months have been up and it’s time to change your water filter!

I am not one to drink flavored water though I will admit the flavor cartridges that you can add to the top of the PUR Flavor Options Water Pitcher lid taste pretty good! The flavors are as follows;  grape, lemon, strawberry, raspberry, and peach. They are also sugar and calorie free.

We tried the grape and raspberry flavor cartridges and are a fan of both. One thing I like is that you don’t always have to have a flavor in your water if you don’t want too. There is a nifty button on the lid that you can press while pouring your water to add or not to add the desired amount of flavoring. You can also switch out the cartridges easily if you want a different flavor as I prefer the raspberry to the grape and I am sure personal preference will apply to everyone.

Overall you can’t go wrong with the PUR Flavor Options Water Pitcher! You’ll save money, help the environment, live healthier,  and help others.

Personally just having the PUR Flavor Options Water Pitcher in the fridge has encouraged my husband and I to drink more water on a daily basis!

Buy it: I think this would make a great gift for anyone! Definitely something to think about since the Holidays are soon approaching! The pitcher costs $29.99. Aprons are great to wear year round and are perfect for any member of the family, whether you can cook or not. I personally love cooking and baking all sorts of goodies and tasty meals. Cooking is just another way for me to get my creative juices flowing.

Before this year I never wore or owned an apron of my own. That all changed and I now own five! I think that apron’s  add that special something when you are pouring yourself into your cooking for your loved ones. Plus they are great to protect your clothes from getting dirty. Trust me, no matter how hard I try not to, my clothes are always covered in flour when baking breads and biscuits!

Though aprons weren’t very popular till the 1950′s, they were around longer than that! I learned some interesting things while reading about the apron on Wikipedia and also loved reading the article on aprons that can be found at The Open Pantry.

While surfing the net, I happened across a company called Flirty Aprons.  This company offers a wide variety of stylishly attractive aprons for men, woman, and children!

Out of the generosity of Flirty Aprons, I was given the opportunity to review an apron of my choice. I must’ve stared at the selection for well over an hour trying to decide which one to pick.  I even called my mother and asked her as well as receiving input from my husband.  I’m usually not so indecisive but the  selection of aprons offered are all just too cute!

The apron I decided on is the “Sassy Black Apron“. I choose this apron because it’s perfect to wear year round with it’s classic black and white colors. These aprons are one size fits all and fit in my opinion perfectly.

Flirty Aprons are a lot of fun because  you can wear them in several different stylish ways! The waist band tie is long enough to wrap  in front and tie it into a bow as well as to tie it in the back, both make very desirable variations!

These aprons are excellent quality made with sturdy yet soft fabric, and strong stitching.  Long lasting is not what I find in many products but I’m thrilled to know that with the 2-ply construction of these aprons, I’ll be looking forward to passing these down to my children and my children’s children.
