I consider myself a pretty eco-friendly conscious person. I use eco-friendly products of all kinds such as house cleaning  and beauty products for my household. I try not to waste anything at all if I can help it. I have even have on hand re-usable nursing pads for when I’m breastfeeding my babies. And speaking of, I recently came across a brand of nursing pads which I’ve fallen completely in love with called Posh Pads.

Robyn and Jessica are the moms, owners, and designers behind Posh Pads. Their goal is to make breastfeeding more comfortable and acceptable for all nursing mothers! They offer the the cutest nursing pads made with extremely fashionable materials and only the best bamboo velour & organic cotton. 

I was sent a set of bamboo Posh Pads to review in the pink polka dot pattern. I must say that if you go with bamboo, you’ll want to use no other thing but!

My Posh Pads were packaged in their own little mesh bag for future washing. I must state that the convenience of this is awesome because I’ve purchased other types of nursing pads this year and they just came as is.  After washing, I’ve been wearing these pads a lot because they are super comfortable and very absorbent which is surprising to me after seeing how thin they are! I like the thinness compared to disposables because they won’t show up bulky like under my shirt and yet because they are bamboo do a great job of keeping me dry.

The pros out weigh the cons with going with reusable pads compared to disposables! You’ll be helping the environment and saving money! Plus you get to have you own little secret fashion just between you and baby going on!

Our Thoughts…

Being one to lean toward using skin care products that use organic ingredients  I was given the opportunity to review a couple of products from Motherlove to not only use for myself but to also share with my readers here at Connecte2Christ.

The two products I’m here to share my thoughts on today are Motherlove’s Diaper Rash and Thrush Salve and Green Salve. One is a must have product if you have a little one in your home and the other is perfect for the entire family.

Motherlove’s Diaper Rash and Thrush Salve is a product I plan on turning to for all my diaper rash needs! I cloth diaper baby so we rarely see rashes but on occasion a little redness can occur which is quite undesirable for my little guy.  A need to know is that typical diaper rash creams on the market aren’t recommended for cloth diapering because it can cause unwanted build up on your diapers because of the zinc they contain. It’s just really difficult to get that stuff to wash out and it’ll leave diapers needing to be stripped and having to be replaced a lot sooner than it should be!

The Diaper Rash salve from Motherlove is completely cloth diaper safe as it contains no zinc whatsoever. I used this on my son last week and the redness on his little bum cleared up within a few hours, talk about fast and super effective! This salve is available in a 1 ounce container making it the perfect size to just throw in a diaper bag without taking up much space. And though it only comes in 1 ounce know that a little will most definitely go a long way.

The Green Salve from Motherlove, I’m equally impressed with! This product works well for taking the itch out of insect bites, bee stings and poison ivy. It also is great for soothing the discomforts of rashes, chapped and irritated skin.

During the winter, my lips get pretty chapped so I decided to try the Green Salve out on my lips. It worked wonderfully re hydrating my lips and easing any discomfort I had! I honestly am very glad to have the salve on hand for when any bug bites occur and also for any other unwanted skin discomfort my family and I may suffer from.

Overall I encourage you to check out Motherlove for a number of great products for mothers and babies. I found everything reasonably priced starting at $8.50 and up. They have a nice set up whether you want to purchase one product or a gift set for yourself or for someone you know.
