I recently got to review a FyrFlyz toy that would make a really fun gift for any occasion and it’s also the perfect size to stuff in those stockings on Christmas day! This particular toy has been one of the hottest toys for this Fall and I can easily see that continuing through the 2011 Holiday season!

What is a FyrFlyz toy? It’s basically a really cool LED light up toy that uses precision balance to provide for tons of fun in the dark! It basically works by swinging, twirling, and spinning the two strings on the toy in all sorts of ways to make really fun multi-color light shapes! I will admit it took a few minutes to figure out how to work these toys but after that we were good to go anytime we picked it back up. Very easy!

FyrFlyz come in three different color combinations, Cyclone (green and white), Nytfyr ( red and white), and Blue Angel (Multi Color and Blue). There a small on and off switch on the backside of the toy and batteries for these are included and can be easily replaced hassle free.

This toy may be suited best for outdoor use or in a room with a good amount of space for safety sake of not hitting someone else or breaking things! They would be the perfect toy to bring along when camping, attending firework shows, or any other night time outdoors activities as they are the perfect size to stuff in a pocket. Age recommendation is children 8 and up but I think the younger ones would enjoy this too.

I for one love the challenge in trying to figure out new fun designs and patterns with the Fyr Flyz and can only imagine kids will too! Have you pulled out your collection of Holiday music yet? I have but if you personally haven’t quite yet, no worries there’s only around 40 days left till it comes and goes. You still have time!

I’ve happily been enjoying my Christmas music collection and have been thoroughly impressed with one of the latest additions called Winter’s Songs: A Windham Hill Christmas!

This CD is an instrumental compilation by various artists that mix traditional holiday songs with songs celebrating the entire winter season.  There are so many wonderful tracks that it’s hard for me to pick just one favorite! I love having this cd as background music whether I am baking, blogging, having a holiday get together, or just sitting by my fireplace reading a book.  I know it’ll definitely be playing in the background as my family and I decorate our home for the holidays which make me look forward to pulling our tree out of the garage even more!

My Thoughts…

I was given the opportunity to review a set of pajamas from their Holiday Pajamas and gifts category. I went with the Sleepyheads Plaid Flannel Lounger Pajama which is also available in family sets. Family set are perfect for making such fun Holiday photos!

My pajamas were very comfortable thanks to the 100% cotton flannel.  I appreciated the elastic waist band at the back and sateen draw string in the front. These pajamas have kept me warm and looking sharp during the holiday season! Next year I am definitely thinking about getting a mommy and and me pajama set from Sleepyheads!
