Review & Giveaway: Primary Science Mix and Measure Set by Learning Resources
Teaching preschool science to my daughter has been an absolute blast. She like most preschoolers learns best by doing so any thing hands-on is a must to incorporate into educating a child. Science is a great way for children to explore with minimal instructions from an adult. It’s an exciting and meaningful way to help children better understand the world around them teaching problem solving, basic elements, and scientific reasoning such as testing and seeking solutions and answers.
Recently, I was given the opportunity to review the Primary Science Mix and Measure Set from Learning Resource’s latest line of 2012 products. You can bet I was pretty excited to delve deeper into science with my children with this fun looking set!
My daughter whom is nearly four year old really enjoyed using this set. I gave her the opportunity to play with it freely and explained to her what the names for the pieces included were. And then we opted to scientifically create and explore Mystery Goo and what fun that had been. She got to investigate and discover that when she put her had slowly into the mixture that it was all smooth but if she tried to pull her hand out quickly or punch the goo her hand would get stuck! She’s been very eager since playing and learning with this set to explore the world of science again.
We really enjoy using the Primary Science Mix and Measure Set and are looking forward to trying more of the suggested projects found on the included activity cards. The only thing I wish was included in this set would be an apron or two because science can get a bit messy and maybe a little booklet in basic terms that mentions what exactly is going on with each of the projects included in scientific terms. Overall a great product and we highly recommend it!
