Piñata Party by Moona Luna {review}
Moona Luna is the passionate second project of New York-based songwriter Sandra Velasquez and her critically acclaimed Latin band Pistolera. For the last five years, Pistolera has toured extensively, delighting fans of all ages around the globe. During the making of Pistolera’s second album, Velasquez gave birth to her first child. But the experience didn’t slow her down.
Our Thoughts…
Moona Luna’s cd Piñata Party is a must have! It’s honestly one of the best bilingual albums for children that I’ve heard this year. I think Piñata Party in itself is a fun and upbeat way to introduce other cultures and to celebrate diversity!
The artist behind this album was inspired by her daughter to create this CD of songs geared toward children and their families. She does a wonderful job conveying simple messages of joy, discovery and perseverance.
My two year old daughter is always dancing when this cd plays and her personal favorite song is Brinca, Jump! It’s great to keep her moving! My only hope is that the neighbors don’t mind all the jumping up here!
