The Log Family by Trent Lenderink & Tammy Trent {review}
My daughter had plenty to say about The Log Family. She did keep saying The Log Family in specific were gross. She laughed out loud where in the story the main characters were expressing gas. She also noted to me that the poop was in fact not using swim towels for their own special beach trip but instead using toilet paper. And she told me her poop didn’t have a face. She kept telling me the story was wrong, apparently I can’t out smart her nor this book.
Maybe this potty training book will work better for someone else who doesn’t have a two year old who is wise beyond her years. Wise but not quite ready to take the leap to solely use the potty! I’ll read this book a few more times to her in greater hopes! I’m totally saving it for my son though.
You can purchase it for just $11.99 at http://www.tammytrent.com/store.html.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bring It On Communications to facilitate this review. The opinions expressed in this post are my own.
Melody’s First Hair Cut…

I had been putting off cutting my daughter Melody’s hair for quite sometime. But today I finally brought myself to give her a trim. I was tired of seeing her hair in her face! She’s pretty active so she never kept the clips or bows in her hair that I made for very long to keep her hair out of her face. So it was time to say goodbye to the bangs.
Melody did a fantastic job of sitting still and not moving much at all while I was trimming her hair. I think it came out pretty cute! And now we can see her pretty blue eyes.
I wonder how often parents decide to trim their children’s hair or to have it professionally done. I think if my daughter was prone to not sit still I’d probably opt to have it done by someone else who they may listen to better or something.
Any child hair cutting experiences that you’d like to share?
Little Toader {review}

Little Toader is a company that offers a fun selection of products made specifically for infants and toddlers.
I was certainly amused by their Appeteethers. These soothing teethers are pretty clever as there’s the Chompin’ Chicken Wings and Baby-Q Ribs! APPETEETHERS are soothing for baby’s gums and safe because they are non-toxic and Phthalate free, BPA free, PVC free, and lead free. They come in a variety of colors and are textured! So when you are munching down on your favorite wings or ribs recipes you can safely offer these to your little one as a substitute!
Another one of the products offered by Little Toaders are StoryBook Pj’s of which I was able to review . Unfortunately the pj sample I was sent doesn’t quite fit my son yet and it was too small for my daughter.
The Storybook Pj set comes with a board book which is titled “A Safari with Boppo the Hippo,”. The fun thing about the pjs and the board book is that the images on the pj’s helps tell the story! I found the illustrations quite interesting. They look as if the story itself is a dream! Pretty neat, if you ask me.
The PJs are 100% cotton with a full-length zipper front and zipper guard, slip proof feet, and are available in sizes 6 months to 2T.
You can purchase Little Toader products right on their site and other retailers online. Coming soon are new teethers, pj sets, and sippy cups!
