When I'm feeling stressed and disconnected from God, I turn on worship music. Right now what is especially blessing me is a CD I bought from iTunes by Sherri Youngward called Scripture Songs: Volume One. I really love it and it's all straight from scripture, just what I needed! That first quote at the top of you post is AWESOME!
