There is something to be said about watching a story unfold right before your eyes. A special sort of  magic and wonder fills children with awe  as new and old stories come to life in a special way like nothing else can. Moving Picture Books a company that specializes in these sort of stories recognized this first hand, and went to work offering  a bountiful selection to choose from.

Tales from popular nursery rhymes  and  stories like “The Old Woman That Swallowed a Fly” you’ll find at Moving Picture Books. There are those that encourage teaching our children their ABC’s, but those were not what I was most excited to see. It was the Bible stories selection that thrilled me the most.

The  Bible stories are perfect for young children just getting introduced to the Word of God. There are tales of The Creation, Jonah, Daniel, Noah’s Ark, and the birth of Christ.  Each story is visually stunning, illustrated in full color in a way I’ve never seen before. The way the stories are  written makes it so it is very catchy to remember and the narrating of both adults and children is also well done keeping the attention of children both young and old.

There are currently six volumes of stories to choose from at Moving Picture Books. Each DVD has about 6-7 stories each on them, with each DVD running about an hour long.  You  have the choice of repeating the DVD over again, though I think an hour of time is plenty enough throughout the day of sitting my child in front of the TV. But, say you want something as background sound when you have many children over, it’s great that through Moving Picture Books you can have something educational and fun running. I wanted to mention that these stories are basically geared to children ages 3 months to seven years old though this mom is a huge fan.

The DVD’s I was sent are available in English and also have read along text so as your child learns to read, they can recognize words and follow along which is great for eager growing minds. If you are on the go you would probably love to know that you can purchase individual stories for just .99 cent at iTunes for you iPhone of iPod.
