Weleda Baby Care Review and Giveaway
Weleda is one of my new favorite companies for skincare products.
A couple of weeks ago, I was sent several products from their baby care line to review and am quite pleased with them all! The standards they hold for their products are very high as each contains no synthetic preservatives, fragrances, chemicals, or anything else potentially harmful or not natural! Their products are hands down 100% all natural and effective! They aim to use only the purest wild-crafted, organically and Biodynamically® cultivated ingredients for thier products. Toxins, additives and raw materials from mineral oils simply won’t do!
I first tried out the Calendula Baby Cream which general purpose is best for dry, chapped, or reddened skin. Basically, this is used to prevent diaper rashes and clear up that excess moisture on your little ones bum, but it is also great to use anywhere else on your baby. It has a great texture, not too thick and easy to apply without getting messy. The plant essences smell is nice and not too strong. Best of all, it helps soothe any skin irritation.
Next up is their Diaper-Care ointment which works wonders! My daughter came down with a diaper rash when trying some new foods last week and I got the opportunity to give this ointment a go.The constancy of it is so wonderful! It’s not super thick like those I’ve used before and got all messy with and it’s not to loose either. The smell like their other products, is quite pleasant! The results, My daughter’s rash was gone by the next morning! I’m still amazed how quickly it worked. Another thing I’d like to mention is just a little bit goes a long way!
I also got to try out the Calendula Cream Bath! I’m going to admit that I’ve been enjoying bath time along with my little one a bit more now. I simply added a couple drops of Calendula Cream Bath to the bath water and stirred it around to unleash a very soothing bath time experience for my little one. I love the smell as I’ve used other bath creams with aromatic smells and they were just to much! Following the bath, I applied Weleda Calendula oil to my daughter’s arms, legs, and back and she must have been in heaven because she never really stays still very long since she’s been mobile!
Weleda has more than just their baby line of products, they also have regular skin care products featuring Creams & Lotions, Facial Care, Body Oils, Bath & Shower, Deodorants, Hair Care, Men’s Care, and Oral Care. When I am pregnant again, I’ll defiantly be investing in their Pregnancy Body Oil and their Nursing Tea! If you are wanting to try some of these out before investing in a whole larger sized product, they offer travel sized and gift kits to do just that.
If you are looking to get a hold of some of these wonderful products you can find them on their website along with being available at Target, Whole Foods, and select health food stores.
