The Beginner’s Bible My First Book of Prayers is geared toward boys and girls ages 3-8 years old. In this book, children will be introduced to sixteen Bible stories, a corresponding scripture reading, and topical prayer that goes with along with it. This book is in a simple format that encourages children to speak with God while eliminating any unsure feelings associated with prayer but instead is assured of God’s love, care, and in his enjoyment of hearing from his children (them!).  Continue reading

The Bedtime Book by Mary Engelbreit is a great choice for helping lull those little ones to bed. This book features classic poems, memorable prayers, and many recognizable songs.  The book is geared toward children ages 4-8 years old. However, it’s really a lovely picture book to look at for children as well as for adults that may be fans of this artists work.  Continue reading

Ready, Set, Find Noah’s Ark

My youngest child has been learning and exploring the story about the great flood and God’s Promise to his children with  Ready, Set. Find Noah’s Ark .  This interactive book gives children something to do as they listen.  Seeking, finding, and discovering tools and animals along the way make this a fun book for children toddler to around the age of five.

The Beginner’s Bible Daniel And The Hungry Lions

The Beginner’s Bible Daniel And The Hungry Lions is taken from the Beginner’s Bible series. It spotlights this well-known Old Testament story in an easy to understand way.  Children age two through five years old are the hopeful audience and I feel it hits that mark.

The book is twenty-four-pages long and the sizing is 8×8. It’s a nice size for bringing along and taking up residence on a child’s bookshelf. It has a cut-out design that’s appealing and the board book format is especially nice for the toddler/preschool age range.
