This month I was given the opportunity to check out what a monthly subscription Purpose Driven Essentials Mini Bag looks like. The PDE includes a book, CD, journaling supplies, a treat, and a few other items. I feel it’s a great value at just $32.99. The main purpose is to give one the opportunity to be inspired by scripture, devotional thoughts, the music of praise via the album included, and through art during their journaling and Bible study times.

Though coffee may be my first pick for a hot drink on a cool day, it’s not always! I do love a to savor a warm and delicious cup of tea too but not just any sort of tea. I’m a fan of the loose leaf kind and those with robust flavor. I typically go for a black tea like Darjeeling and will drink it without anything like sugar or milk added. If it’s a good tea, it’s not really necessary to add anything extra, in my opinion.
The Chefast Loose Leaf Tea Infuser Set is something anyone that enjoys a delicious cup of tea should have. I absolutely adore drinking loose leaf tea. I have a local favorite loose leaf blends producer that I hit up every so often and nothing quite beats the fullness of flavors in drinking it this way. But before having this tea infuser set, I was getting bits and pieces of tea debris into my cups no matter what I tried to do to prevent it. Let’s just say not all tea infuser are up to par with delivering a hassle-free cup of loose leaf tea.
The Way of Tea and Justice: Rescuing the World’s Favorite Beverage From It’s Violent History is releasing tomorrow on the 4th of November.
I’ll admit the title is what really drew me in “Tea & Justice”. I love tea and am all for justice and was quite eager for a bit of history. I’m still reading through this book but it’s very interesting so far. I’m putting off completely reviewing the title just yet but wanted to spread a bit about it upon the release date.
The book in a nutshell is about the authors challenges and triumphs in building the Thistle Stop Café. Not just any café but one that would offer jobs to women recovering from addiction and prostitution. As well as this, there is information on the world of tea and a history most probably aren’t aware of. It all ties together perfectly.
In this book the global mission “Shared Trade” is mentioned. This movement which is growing is helping build economic freedom in the lives of marginalized women around the world and fair wages. This is a book of hope, love, and an insight into very real matters and situations.
There are recipes on how to prepare certain teas and blends throughout this book as well as helpful information. I have enjoyed much that this was included and am excited to change up the ways I prepare some of my own teas.
