My Great Big God is a nice Bible story board-book offering for young children. There are twenty stories total taken from both the Old and New Testament of the Bible. The stories are easy to grasp for young children as they are written simply. The rhyming format also makes the stories easier to read for the and for kids to remember and pay attention to.
Each story features a title, scripture reference ( you can read the entire story from the Bible if you want to), a simplified retelling, and an important attribute of God to remember. A few examples of the attributes pointed out are “My Great Big God has a plan for me”, saves the day, gave us Jesus, makes big things happen, and so forth.

It’s been a joy to read these Christmas as well as Hanukkah stories. I found most to be quite moving and leaving me with a feeling of happiness and hope! Sometimes especially during this time of the year, I feel people sometimes lose sight a bit of why we celebrate and how we should be kind and generous toward each other. Peace on Earth and Goodwill toward men, ya know?
These stories are kid friendly and Santa safe. Santa safe as in there’s no story that would cause a child to lose belief. I would encourage you to pick up a book for yourself and instead of just reading it on your own perhaps read it amongst loved ones or get them a copy too!
