Koru Naturals {Schoolhouse Crew Review}

koru_logo_150X150_zps0quko7q0The Fall and Winter season is upon us here in the Northwest. As much as I love the cooler weather, I’m not so much of a fan of how it can leave our skin and hair feeling and looking dry, agitated, and damaged. In choosing beauty care products for my family, I prefer those that are all natural  free from harmful chemicals such as Parabens, Synthetic Fragrance, Isopropyl Alcohol, and so forth. Pampering oneself should be a priority. Caring and renewing oneself daily can do wonders reaping long term benefits our body will thank us for in the long run.

As part of the Schoolhouse Crew Review team, I’ve been given the opportunity to share my thoughts upon a few of the heath and beauty care products by Koru Naturals for second time this year! My family received their Skin Clear CreamManuka Honey Propolis Soap, and Emu Oil Shampoo and Emu Oil Leave-in Conditioner to use and share our thoughts upon.  Since I am pregnant with our third child my husband Justin, will be sharing his thoughts on the Skin Clear Cream which is not safe for those carrying babies. Note that most Koru Naturals products are safe for pregnancy but it doesn’t hurt to contact customer service if intending on making a purchase to be on the safe side

Fractionated Coconut Carrier Oil & Massage Oil Review

GoPure Fractionated Coconut Oil has been what I’ve been using to dilute my essential oils, treat my hair, and moisturize my skin. I use it so often in my heath, skin care and beauty routine that it has become a staple in my home. In having recently gone through my beauty products, I tossed a lot more than I imagined I would. Mainly for me it was the classic case of if you don’t use it, you lose it. The expiration dates are really something I should keep a closer eye on.

Clarigenics Vitamin C Serum {Review}

vitamincserumClarigenics Vitamin C Serum can add a youthful look and radiant glow to ones appearance without the use of any harmful chemicals. I’m very picky about what I apply to my skin so anything with parabens, phthlates, or any other toxins is a big no-no. This made in the USA product is complied of 98% natural and 72% organic ingredients and is never tested on animals.

The ingredients in this serum I recognize and already use many alone such as witch hazel, aloe, and jojoba oil to name just a few. It’s an excellent combination that when mixed together gives users healthier more youthful appearance by helping to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It’s also an ideal choice for those with different skin types whether oily, sensitive, acne prone, and so on.

I like that a little bit of this goes a long way. The bottle has glass dropper which makes application easy. I can’t quite place the smell but it’s not off putting. The consistency is somewhere in the middle of liquid and gel. It has a somewhat silky feel and absorbs soon after application. I like to apply this before wearing make up and follow with my favorite moisturizer.

After a few weeks of use, I’ve noticed my skin to be more radiant and the darkness under my eyes fade away quite a bit! Aside from tackling my dark eye circles and under the eye puffiness, this can be used on the face, neck, body, and hands. I’ve took note of my breaking out with acne far less since use and love that my skin seems to have a really healthy glow to it.

I haven’t quite utilized all the benefits of this product but am very impressed with what it helps with. The versatility ranges from tackling age spots, dry patchy skin, enlarged pores, sun damage, and much more! I love that it uses Vitamins C & E which are great for the skin.

This company stand behind their product and offers a worry free full 365 day money back 17arantee no questions asked! I’m certainly satisfied with how well the product works and the affordable price.

100% Pure Argan Oil [Certified Organic] Review

Argan Oil is something I heard briefly about but my interest in trying it out or learning more about it stopped there mainly because I thought it wouldn’t be good to use on my oily skin. More oil on oily skin equals acne, right? Well, recently in an attempt to prioritize and change things up in my daily skincare routine, I decided to see what all the fuss was about. While researching, I learned that it’s actually great for all skin types.

I’ve happily been using Foxbrim Certified Organic 100% Pure Argan Oil for many of my skin care, hair care, and other beauty needs for the last month. I like that it’s free from Parabens, Phthalates, Sulfates, and fragrances. When choosing an oil, I always make sure it’s pure and not diluted by anything. The fact that it comes in dark bottle ensures that it filters out the suns ultra-violet light is good because it ensures the oil won’t lose it’s potency.

This Argan oil doesn’t dry my skin out yet it doesn’t leave it oily either. It’s high in vitamin E and essential fatty acids. I like that it’s easy to apply with the glass dropper attached to the lid. The dropper is great because this oil can effectively be used quite sparingly. The oil is smooth and light absorbing quickly and not feeling greasy in the least bit. After application, I’m left with richly moisturized skin. I have total peace knowing that my skin won’t clog up and have an undesirable reactions. I’m left with an attractively glowing rejuvenated look.

I’ve been using this oil on my face at night time and also before I apply my make up. It’s been great for my chapped lips which always seem to get way worse during the winter season. Since use I’ve had very little acne but took note this is also known to heal blemishes and minimize scaring. My hands and nails have greatly benefited. I can tell a real difference as I’ve not had painful hangnails or broken nails since the daily use of this oil! My hair and scalp is also benefiting. I see and feel desirable changes, and that’s what keeps me continuing to use and praise this beauty product so much.

I totally adore products that serve many purposes. It can even be used in home-made beauty products such as scrubs! As for a downside, I can’t think of one! The oil has many benefits and the price is excellent! You can’t beat $13.95 for a two ounce bottle on Amazon. If you aren’t happy, there’s a 100% Money Back Guarantee.

Apothecary Extracts 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil Review + Giveaway

I always opt for natural products free from any sort of harmful chemicals or additives to be used and remain in my home. If a product has more than one use or purpose, that’s even better. This is why I’m head over heels for Apothecary Extracts 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil. This oil I’ve been using for aromatherapy, household cleaning, first-aid, and in my skin and hair care regime. This 4 ounce bottle oil is a product of Australia but it’s bottled in the USA. The generous size I find to be quite affordable and imagine it will last me at least a year, if not longer. When it comes to oils such as these, it’s important to know that a little truly goes a very long way.

If you only know a use or two for Tea Tree Oil and are wanting to know more without having to search all over the internet, this bottle when purchased off Amazon comes with an extremely helpful e-book. This guide is 100 pages long and it introduces you to the oil and all the helpful ways it can be used. Do note and it’s mentioned on the bottle and in the e-book that this oil should not be ingested. It’s safe to use it in any other way as long as you have ruled out any potential allergic reaction. The oil can also be diluted if needed.

I’ve been using this oil to freshen my laundry, to ease my aching muscles at the end of the way as a soak, as a cleaner in my kitchen, and to clean my make up brushes. When mopping with just water and the oil I was pretty amazed how well dirt and grime came off my floor. The oil smells good. It’s not too strong or to mild. It can be mixed with other suggested oils such as Cinnamon Bark, Clary Sage, Clove Bud, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Myrrh, Nutmeg, Rosewood, Rosemary and Thyme if preferred for cleaning as well as when using it in a aromatherapy. Other uses include being used as a antiseptic for cuts and burns. It’s an excellent anti-fungal and anti-bacterial agent great for fighting bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Also it’s good for spot treatments of acne! I’ve applied this and a day or two later the bump is gone! It has been quite effective!

I’m excited to start making my own shampoo and body scrubs with this oil and eager to find other ways to fit into our daily household and family needs.
