The Lord’s Prayer: Words of Hope and Happiness by Rick Warren {Book Review}

The Lord’s Prayer: Words of Hope and Happiness by Rick Warren
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Lord’s Prayer: Words of Hope and Happiness by Rick Warren is a wonderful book for children. I learned the prayer this title features when I was 4-5 years old and it has stuck with me ever since. I feel this book would be a great choice if you are wanting a child in your life to also learn this prayer. It list more than the verses but also the author adds a comment or two on what each verse means in a way a child can understand.

The Berenstain Bears Christmas Fun Sticker And Activity Book

The Berenstain Bears Christmas Fun Sticker And Activity Book is a jolly good time to be had!  This book has many great activities that will get kids focused on the reason for the season!

This book is geared toward children ages 4-8 years old.  The activities within are mazes, counting, crosswords, color-by-number, matching, decoding, search and find, coloring, sticker placing, finish the drawing, dot-to-dots, and more. It’s amazing just how many great activities are included in this 32-page activity/sticker book! The illustrations are colorful and fun to look at.

The stickers are easy for little ones to peel on their own. The pages of the book are semi-glossy. I feel for coloring crayons or markers would be the ideal choice to use along with this book. I like that through the Christmas story is followed and there is scripture as well. This is a great activity book to use during the month of December leading up the celebration of the birth of Christ Jesus.

Goodnight Manger {Christmas Book Review}

Goodnight, Manger, written by Laura Sassi and illustrated by New York Times bestselling artist Jane Chapman, tells the story of Mary and Joseph as they try to lull Jesus to sleep in the noisy stable after his birth. It’s bedtime for Baby Jesus, but who knew a manger could be so loud? Mama, Papa, and all of the animals try to lull the baby to sleep, but between itchy hay, angels’ joyful hosanas, and three kings bearing noisy gifts, it’s just too loud. Until Mama finds a way for everyone to work together to shepherd Baby into peaceful dreams under the twinkling stars. With sweet, rhyming text in the style of Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site, Goodnight, Manger offers a unique twist on the classic manger tale, deftly weaving together the comforting and familiar routines of bedtime with the special magic and wonder of the manger story.
