The Halloween Hustle is a amusingly fun book that children as well as adults are sure to want to add to their must read selection during the month of October. There’s definitely a great rhythm that makes the book flow very well from beginning to end.
As the story starts we are introduced to a Skeleton that receives an invitation to a FA-BOO-LOUS Dance Party hosted by Ghost. The Skeleton makes his way to the party snapping, tip-tapping, elbows flapping, all the way to the party and through the pages. Though while doing the Halloween Hustle he occasionally found himself in pieces but nothing a little tape, glue, twine, or rubber bands couldn’t remedy.
The illustrations in this book are definitely in the spirit of Halloween. The full color two page spreads my kids really enjoyed looking at. This book was totally up their alley being preschool and kindergarten aged. As for the illustrations, think fun and friendly and not creepy in the least bit. There are characters such as mummies, Frankenstein, monsters, and more all off to have a great night of fun dancing.
I’d totally recommend this to anyone looking for a fun Halloween themed book to share with children of ages. Also if you want to know how the Halloween Hustle beat should go look up the author on Youtube and you’ll find a really fun dance video! My kids have been doing nothing but going around singing the Halloween Hustle song , dancing around the house, and begging me to read the book just one more time!
Interested in Purchasing? Halloween Hustle can be purchased on Amazon.com in Kindle ($3.00) or Hardcover format ($9.00).

Halloween is right around the corner! If you haven’t gotten on the costume bandwagon yet, I’d encourage selection to happen pretty soon before stores are sold out! There’s nothing worse than a disappointed kid (or parent!) with a minimal selection of left overs costumes to pick from. And hey if you are the creative type and into making your own costumes, I’m sure there’s possibly a prop, wig, or some other item you’ll want to purchase to complete your outfit. Often even local stores now might not have what you may be looking for and this is why I love shopping online!
My son age 2 though nearly 3 can’t wait for Halloween. He’s so excited about getting candy, decorating pumpkins, and dressing up with friends. When I asked him what he wanted to dress up for I already knew what the answer was going to be. He shouted “Thomas!”.
My little lover of trains just had to have a costume of his favorite character. While looking through the boys costumes, I was thrilled to see quite the selection at Halloween Adventure of train themed costumes from conductors, engineers, dinosaur train, and of course those of everyone’s favorite little blue engine Thomas the Tank!
I opted for my son to dress up in the Children’s Thomas the Tank Engine Candy Catcher Costume. It’s unique design really caught my attention. After selection, the costume arrived rather quickly with same day shipping! I had pondered if the costume would be too big for my son but it fit just right! It says it fits children up to the age of six year olds. Time will tell how many more years we might possibly get out of it. He was super thrilled to see the costume and wanted to try it on right away.
Parenting approval is that I really like the Thomas costume has enough give to dress my son up in layers and keep him warm if it happens to be cool out when are out trick or treating. The hat fits perfectly and what’s a really neat feature about this costume is that your child can carry all their candy directly into the built in front pouch. There will be no spilled treat buckets or bags when racing off to the next house. Read the rest of this entry »
Have you heard about Unreal candy? I hadn’t until just recently but I must say I’m pretty impressed with all the benefits it claims to have. There are no GMOs, partially hydrogenated oils, corn syrups, artificial flavors, colorings, or preservatives. Sugar content has also been reduced by over 40% per saving on average. Also, all the ingredient are said to be responsibly sourced.
I was sent a coupon to try one of the five candies they apparently have available for purchase. The candy we opted to try out was the UN54 (compareable to Peanut M&M’s). We found the candy to taste quite different but it was not lacking in flavor. Both my kids really enjoyed splitting up the bag of candy at their snack time.
As a mom, I’m always looking for healthy alternatives to snacks for my kids and this company has hit the nail straight on the head. A good healthy snack without all the sugar and other un-needed additives. A total win! We are totally looking forward to trying the other offerings of this brand soon!
