Monstrous Maud: Big Fright is geared toward middle-grade readers that follows many more books in this fun literary series. Monstrous Maud is an interesting character who walks to the beat of her own drum. Advertised as a great alternative to princess-themed books, I am pleased to introduce the series to my oldest whom tends to prefer the oddball, mysterious, quirky types of characters and stories to the sparkly fashion shopping boy crazy themed titles out there often promoted for girls around her age.

Night of the Living Cuddle Bunnies by Jonathan Rosen is a spooky book full of good humor. The story is about a 12-year-old boy named Devin Dexter whose cousin thinks Devin’s new neighbor is a warlock! No one believes them because well kids make up weird stories and come to odd conclusions pretty often. Strange things are amiss like the popular for Christmas stuffed bunny toys coming to life and behaving in dangerous ways!

I’ll admit that this review opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time. This particular edition includes primary as well as elementary science which works perfectly for my 4 and 6 year old.
