Our family makes and bakes rollout cookies every Christmas season. It was funny because the day I decided we’d make cookies this year is the exact day we did the last year (via a reminder from Facebook). There was no planning in that whatsoever. Apparently, it was just time to do so!

Do you or someone you know love to cook, bake, or both? I personally can’t pick one over the other! I’m constantly looking for new treats, meals, drinks, appetizers, and other delicious goodies to make for friends and family. As much and as often as I look for recipes online, I still like having cookbooks on my shelves to flip through. The more pictures to tantalize the eyes and tickle the taste buds the better and that is why I adore the Taste of Home cookbooks!
Once December rolls around it’s our annual tradition to bake cookies or other goodies to share with friends, family, and among ourselves. This year the kids and I made chocolate fudge ( not pictured as it got eaten up quickly), sugar cookies, and blueberry muffins (these were amazing).

The BakeitFun Non-Stick Silicone Baking Mat is a very useful product. I keep asking myself why I didn’t invest in one of these before. It would have saved the appearance of my pans, eliminated the need for oil or non-stick spray to prevent sticking, and saved me money in the long run from having to use parchment or wax paper when baking or freezing foods.
There’s been no more scraping, scrubbing or sighing when it comes to removing or cleaning off food from my baking sheets once I’ve placed this mat down. I’d recommend knowing the size of your pans. This mats corners were specifically cut to fit a 13x 8 inch pan perfectly. The exact measurements of the mat are 16 ½ x 11 inches. If your pan is larger than that, this mat will still work out any smaller really wouldn’t be recommended.
I’ve personally found the mat to be of premium quality! It’s BPA free and manufactured using FDA and LFGB approved materials. It uses the best food grade silicone. I’ve used it numerous times baking, freezing, and when rolling out dough. It can withstand temperatures as low as -40 and as high as 450 degrees Fahrenheit. I’m impressed that it has maintained it’s appearance with no staining or odors from what was put upon it.
That mat itself, has measurements all around it from 11 inches on one side and 15 on the other. On the face of the mat, there’s eleven circles. These circles are a handy guide when baking cookies and gives you a general idea of how many should be fitting on your pan. This mat I’ve used with baking cookies with my kids and they really liked knowing where on the mat the dough should go without worry of the cookies coming together.
Non-stick is right no matter if used in my microwave, toaster oven, freezer, or range. No cookies I have baked or berries I have frozen sticks to this mat! It’s nice to not have to use the backside of my spatula to scrape things off and potentially wreck havoc on my pans! I will point out that baking time may vary just a bit when using this mat, but that’s not a problem because I tend to keep an eye on what’s baking when it’s in the oven. Once I bake something enough I’ll just adjust accordingly in the future.
This mat is dishwasher safe but can just easily be cleaned in the sink with dishsoap. It’s recommended that upon your first use or after this has been in the dishwasher to apply a light coating of non-stick spray. This won’t need repeated if you make a point to wash the mat by hand. Once tried the mat easily just rolls up and can be stored taking up minimal space rolled up just about anywhere in the kitchen.
I’m 100% satisfied with this mat and would recommend it to anyone that has a kitchen. You’ll save money, time, and not to mention the appearance of your pans! Also with each purchase of this baking mat, you’ll receive a free bonus recipe book!
