A couple of weeks ago, my family and I made it to the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival. This visit was our 7th! I didn’t spend a long time there since it was a long weekend and it was following getting up earlier and out the door for church ( I typically go on Saturdays and not Sundays but something else came up). We headed up after church since we were halfway there from our new home. We took lunch and walked around for a bit. Lots of inspiration for my own fiber related projects. Continue reading

The Little Bunny’s Bible is and adorable board book. It features a unique gray bunny on the front that is very cute and super soft to the touch. The toddler through kindergarten crowd are sure to be intrigued by just the cover and in turn also delighted by the stories of God’s love for them within.
There are eight stories taken from both the Old and New Testament of the Bible. The stories are: God’s Wonderful Work, God’s Friend Noah, Daniel in the Lions’ Den, Jonah Learns a Lesson, God’s Greatest Gift, The Lost Lamb, It’s a Miracle, and Jesus Opens Heaven’s Doors. Each story mentions the scripture where the story can also be found in the Bible. The book is written in an easy to understand rhyming way. The rhyme flows well when read and is more likely to be remembered by a child. The illustrations are like a painting and were loved by both my son and daughter. Continue reading
Bunny’s First Spring written by Sally Lloyd-Jones and illustrated by David McPhail is a religious storybook that would be perfect to read to children during the start of the Spring season or on Easter Sunday.
The story takes readers through the four seasons Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter through the eyes of Bunny. Bunny is born in Spring when things are so full of beauty and life. But Bunny gets confused when Fall and Winter arrive. Bunny feels sad to see leaves falling as well as other things that happens during this time. He cries out and feels that the Earth surely must be dying but is reminded by his parents to wait.
