Growing minds need interesting books that are fun to look at and educational. A book that my one-year-old daughter goes back to again and again is 100 First Words. I knew the updated version of the book was a must-have because the previous edition I had for my two older children and since gifted to another mother was enjoyed just as much.
In this book, babies and toddlers are introduced to familiar things. The categories covered on two-page spreads are My Body, My Toys, Out and about, Mealtime, Pets, Things that go, and Bathtime. Things seen range from slippers to flowers. Bright colors and patterns appear on all pages.
The Bambeado baltic amber teething necklaces are made from 100% Genuine Baltic Amber. These are a natural way to combat teething pain and other symptoms like wakefulness, fussing, and drooling that is associated with cutting teeth. Though I’m promoting for babies, these also are a nice accessory for those of all ages. These necklaces and bracelets are designed in size for babies, infants, children, and adults! The necklaces and bracelets come in a variety of set sizes but extensions are offered to get the exact right size for you or your child. This company also offers BPA free silicone teething toys and jewelry (so you don’t have to sacrifice on accessorizing while being with baby)!
The Now Born: Nursing Covers are as pretty as they are practical. I’m always on the look out for the best and brightest of products to make my life just a little easier because let’s face it, motherhood can be hard. These nursing covers aren’t ugly, they aren’t unbreathable nor uncomfortable against the skin and the features are well thought out.
The Tiny Traveler by Misti Kenison is a series of books created with children ages 0-3 years old in mind. This series takes the basic concepts of nature and numbers and ties those in with world travel! It’s a clever way to introduce children to countries and their cultures. It’s a great series to get a jump start on Geography! Even though this series is meant for younger children, my five year old son enjoys looking and learning through these books about far off places that we dream of one day visiting.
I grew accustomed to using slings and carriers with my first baby and I feel that I’m pretty seasoned. Through my first and second child, I learned what worked well and what didn’t. Now with my third, I consider myself pretty seasoned and experienced enough to give advice on the matter. In having not used a ring sling too much with my first two, I was eager to give the Mamaway ring sling a try after reading all the excellent reviews from others moms and dads. Boy, I wish I had this sling with my first two kids. It’s been keeping my baby girl happy around the house and when out and about. She prefers being able to look around and being close to the ones she loves over riding about in a stroller especially when at new places.
